  1. JBJ is getting better each year. Glad Farrell didn't lose faith. He's not always a chucklehead,
  2. Damn just looked at scoreboard, Dodgers are almost 30 games over .500
  3. I want Mookie up as many times in a game. Especially if I can get him an extra at bat for the 9th.
  4. That was a LASER
  5. I'll keep an eye on Longhi to see if he's a fringe level prospect, while we value a kid like Lin, who cant hit his weight, and Bogearts is at SS. 2 Marrero's not a good thing. Wasn't he a big international signing? We'll I just eat my words, got a nice hit.
  6. If I were the Sox, I would have put Peralta and Sandoval in Portland, so Devers gets valuable at bats In Triple AAA. Those old Vets, just need to stay upright. Now you got to see if Ockimey is better, and he's only 2 months younger, in A+ ball.
  7. Basically that whole Salem team last year is gone. Longhi has progressed since 17 years old, he's only 21 not 24-25. Power I never worry about at young ages. He always get better as season progresses. Your taking a chance on a unknown. 3 years from now will know better, but I like kids that progress. Looks like Travis is 1st baseman of future, I guess, and he's a so-so fielder. Good to have insurance. GCL performances mean nothing to me. I wait till Single A.
  8. I don't like this Trade.
  9. Work 2nd shift, what happened on the play that set this off? What did Eck say on TV? Thanks.
  10. Went to Portland games last night, DoubleHeader. Devers hit a bomb 2nd game. Kid I'm going to keep an eye on is Chad De La Guerra, kid got a nice bat. Today get to see Ball, I'm glad really want to see him. Teddy Stankiewicz pitched a nice 1st game.
  11. Exactly, Theo probably evaluated his Bullpen, and said do I want Rondon to break a curse or Chapman. Also made the BP a lot stronger, which is needed in Post-Season. Smart guy.
  12. Rondon was doing well at the the time ( I thought he got injured, but I could be wrong), but Chapman is a different Pitcher it put them over the top. With a 22 year old Russell already at SS, Theo could afford to move SS Torres, to put them over the top. Win-win for both teams, which is why Trades are made.
  13. JBJ is spanking
  14. 6-23 with RISP WOW!
  15. With the 2 Wildcards now, looks like only National League players at this point. Still early, I say next man up. That's the advantage of being in 1st place. Yanks got injuries, poor Pitching, they aren't panicking, they just keep bringing up the kids.
  16. Funny that Machado only played 4 games in the Minors at 3rd base.
  17. Dombrowski goes for any more Relievers,, we'll have no Farm left. In 1st place, do nothing. So many injuries, still don't know what this team is capable of. See what Peralta, Pablo, and Devers does. Also Workman has been Pitching real good down at Pawtucket, as a set-up guy. Give him a shot if needed.
  18. Devers is only Sox Prospect that made the Futures Game Roster. Moncada, Kopech, Dubon, made it. I see Dubon got promoted to Triple AAA, hitting .292, but still early. That Thornberg deal might be the worse Trade by Dombrowski. Shaw looks good, and Dubon hits like he is doing, it will be his worse. Dubon has hit everywhere he's been, I see no reason, he will regress at Triple AAA. Moncada 2 Months older, than Dubon.
  19. I know this is about the Sox Farm, but I like looking at all teams. Who the hell is this kid Scott Kingery, he's having a hell of a year. 4 games on call up 3 HRS. 21 for the year. Phillies might have a real gem coming. He's killing the Pawsox.
  20. Other day they played Mike Olt at DH and sat Devers, against a Pitcher with a 5.83 era. Granted pitcher was a Lefty, but that when I want my kids to face them, in the Minors. What are they doing situational hitting in the Minors? You'll never learn.
  21. After reading further, he had 2 MRI's, both said no damage to UCL, Preller said, they will preach patience, might shelve him for entire season, because of age. Only 166 professional innings and already has elbow tightness. Not good. Elbows problems seem to stay with you.
  22. Sox get rid of Chavis I'll be pissed. On all promotions I keep close eye on the K's, if K rate not high that's a good thing.
  23. Espinoza's injury more serious than 1st thought. He just started catching again, might pitch in late July, unless elbow gets better, might be shelved for the season. Also possibility for TJ.
  24. Good point by Lou Merloni, you got Pablo getting off DL going down to Pawtucket for a Rehab, and you got Peralta there to get up to speed, both at 3rd base, and that's holding up Devers to Pawtucket. While you got Marrero and Lin up at the Majors. What's going on with the Sox Management? Too many old Farts in Pawtucket. Almost a 30 year old Triple AAA team, never heard of that.
  25. Nice time to visit Maine, enjoy yourself.
