  1. Crucial situation early.
  2. Springer born in New Britain Ct. Lot of good athletes out of this small town.
  3. 2 strikes couldn't put him away, why throw a Curveball?
  4. Good Trade by the Yanks that flew under the radar, was RHP Zack Littell for James Pazos.
  5. Don't look now but Rusney Castillo is hot in Pawtucket. Could be important in case of injury.
  6. Hugh you gone to any of the Yard Goat Games yet? Portland is coming June 30th. Do yourself a favor and go see Trenton they got some fireballers coming up. That kid Herrera is going to be special.Yankees are going to be a tough team in 2 years. Hope your doing OK.
  7. I see Moncada been struggling. Last 30 days hitting .155
  8. Tell that to Bill Belichick.
  9. Moncada is slumping big time at Triple AAA. Month ago was hitting .341, now .271. Lot of K's too, and only has stolen 13 bases.
  10. Losing Dubon and Logan Allen are killers to an organization for depth. The throw in to Trades are hurting us.
  11. Good for you.
  12. 2013 Team was one of the best Mentally tough teams I ever saw. Usually all Champions that season are Mentally tough. Brains wins a lot of games.
  13. Keith Law should be a Manager. Every game different. Teams different. Ballparks different.
  14. I'm not going too get to high or too low on Velazquez, but this team needs a guy like this. These Starters don't go deep enough into the games. Some are close too 100 pitches by the 5 inning. Johnson last time I was listening at Lunch had 70 pitches in the 3rd inning. Maybe Velazquez niche is to go through a line-up 1 time, eat some innings, don't let opponents face him a 2nd time. Save this BP. You need a strike thrower, contact is good just as long as it's not going out of the yard. Let the Defense do their job. By the way cant wait till I see Derek Fisher for the Astros, when we play them, this weekend.
  15. The Pitchers on this team do not help the Fielders out by throwing quickly, and throwing consistent strikes, attacking the Strike Zone. Seems they all nibble. That's hard on the Fielders, you get lazy.
  16. Wow! I'm not doing that. Me. I'm going cheap, look for a guy who might get hot even for 1 Month. If not move him look for another. Your not 5+ games out of Wildcard. Relax.
  17. I like the way this guy looks at it. http://www.beyondtheboxscore.com/2015/5/11/8577943/baseball-clutch-hitting-visualized RISP is huge, that's why its always in the Boxscore. I would bet that the team that wins this stat, at the end of the day wins 70% of the games.
  18. Its hard to play Defense behind these Sox Pitchers. The amount of time between pitches, non-consistent in the strike zone. Million Pitches are thrown before the 5th inning, by all the Starters. I can see why this Defense makes some mistakes. Its tough to stay on the field and keep your mind in the game. Yesterdays game we lost 8-3 took 4hrs 06 minutes. Yesterday Royals beat the Padres 8-3 took 2Hrs and 27 minutes.
  19. He threw it where Vazquez put the glove.
  20. Before injury Hiura was a Top 10 Prospect in most Drafts.
  21. Cashman was smart signing lights out Relievers, knowing the return these guys bring, especially at the July 31 Deadline. He'll probably do it again with Chapman, not this year, but his value will be high again next 2 years.
  22. MR. Bellhorn and Mr. Fisk has it right, just as long as your in the Wildcard race with this Pitching, don't panic. Take flyers on Players, that maybe they go to different team might wake them up. Go cheap, not expensive. I like the Peralta idea. He also can play multiple positions, which helps the Manager.
  23. Evan Drellich is a chucklehead asks stupid questions. Like Sean McAdam better, he's a baseball guy.
  24. Crazy as this sounds, I'm not giving up on Hector Velazquez yet.
