You absolutely cannot keep giving up Young Talent for Relievers. Dumb formula. Either bring kids up from the Farm or take on contracts. See if another way to stay under the Luxury Tax, if you cant, you cant.

Longhi hit a 3 Run HR in his first at bat for Double AA Pensicola. 3-11, with a HR, Double 6 RBI's in his first 4 games. Didn't know he hit 40 Doubles last year for Salem.

3rd base is a reaction position, Beltre looks like he has lost nothing there. He has lost nothing on his arm too. But your right a day off here and there, not a bad DH either.

Sanchez impressed me the most night. My reason, he had the quickest hands of all the Sluggers. I cracked up last night when the Yankee Fans put that sign up "Case Dismissed" after Judge hit.

Sandoval come's off the DL July 17th (rehab), and Holt the 20th. Yankee series might be big for the kids, for decisions.

Lin has shocked me with his bat, I'm glad. I give credit like his style, doesn't look nervous at each at bat. Good composure, works the Pitcher. Good stuff.

Agree, Farrell said after the game that RHB are hitting .300 against Colome, but that's not how it works. Moreland's hit showed me that LHB might have been the answer THAT day. You need to watch the game, how Pitcher is throwing, what Catcher is calling. I would have batted JBJ in a heartbeat. We didn't get 1 hard hit by any Right handed bats yesterday, against him. Betts had 3-0 count and hit a weak fly ball. What's Bill Belichick say about stats?

Anyway maybe Holt might be in Sox plans, for 3rd. Don't know just don't want to Trade a kid like Mata, with a system that is poor at producing Pitchers from the Minors.

Had 600 at bats last year and hit .305, Holt never do that.

That sounds more of a move I would make. Versatility is huge. Good Veteran presence too. I like this. Veteran like him, might light a fire under Hanley's butt.

Explore other Trades. Don't rush. White Sox might come down on their asking price by July 31. White Sox are 9 games out of 1st, and 6.5 behind for final WC. I'd be patient. That's the hardest part of being a GM, is stay patient, lets see how things play out, while Fans and Media are screaming.

Not Trading Mata for Frazier. Just turned 18, moved already to Single A. Nope. I know early but he is at Single A, and doing alright. These are the Trades that kill your Minor Leagues, not a kid like Ball, whose ceiling is questionable. In fact that would be my rule if I were a GM, Trade Rentals, for Questionables. Meaning with a different system, Coaching, they might be a Diamond in the Rough for another Organization. That would be my selling point. With Mata you just don't know how good he can be. These White Sox Scouts are slick.

Give the Rays credit, and I think they are going to be tough going forward. If Cobb, gets back into form, if this kid Faria is for real, Ordorizzi, and Archer, along with Snell. That's not a bad staff. After us best in AL East. I know a lot of if's. Boxberger coming back is a huge asset, even as a Set-up guy. Their young nothing to lose. Don't count them out, if their Pitching improves.
