    Well hopefully he fixes his mechanics by tomorrow. Big series at this point of the season, could put some distance or drop out of 1st in the division depending on how it goes. But being at home and seeing that we aren't facing Sale, I think we should take 2 outta 3. I'm sure the forum residents would disagree though.

    Judge is the best 6'7 outfielder in the world. No way we trade Pineda and Didi. Tanaka sucks. Until the next start where he has 14Ks, then he's the man. But then as soon as he gives up another 7 runs in 2 innings, he sucks again.

    The positive is now hicks will get to play everyday. But ells was actually playing pretty well. Sucks.

    Lose either (or both) Gardner/Ellsbury. Call up Frazier or Fowler to bide time until Harper signs a $1B contract with the Yankees until he's 45.

    Agreed, I have no issue with him being waved home. With Ellsbury running, I'd say there's a 50% chance of scoring on that single. Compared to Holliday who has a .270 AVG, or 27% chance of driving him in. Obviously it didn't work out (for Yankees fans anyway), but I would make the same decision if the situation occurs again.

    That was a crazy ten seconds of mixed emotions. I went from anxious before the pitch, to pumped after the ball got through the infield, to bummed when Ells got gunned out.

    True. It's not even that Ellsbury has been that bad, but to live up to a contract that massive he would have needed to repeat his MVP season like 3 times.

    We could play .500 ball for the rest of the year and still finish with 87 wins, which would likely be good enough for a WC spot. Obviously not thinking WC at this point in time, but it's pretty wild how well they've set themselves up for the remainder of the season. Polar opposite of last year.

    I was being facetious. She sucks and almost everyone who I've heard that has an opinion about her also thinks that she sucks. Not because she's a woman, because she sucks at announcing. But society will call you a sexist if you say so. End of point. As for Michael Kay, not even his mother likes listening to him speak. I have to disagree with you on Paul O'Neill though, he's a bit of a dolt but at least he's entertaining.

    You're a sexist if you point out how terrible of an announcer Mendoza is. Listening to her announce reminds me of watching the game with my girlfriend.

    Need to find a way to get him in the lineup everyday. At least until he cools off. Kinda tough with both Gardner & Ellsbury playing well though. At least Ellsbury's latest injury is giving him some consistent playing time.

    This team finds a lot of interesting ways to win. It's pretty exciting but I don't think they can count on crazy comebacks all season long. I'd like to see Sanchez start mashing soon, that would be a huge boost to a lineup that's already pretty potent.

    I can't see this ever happening. Besides the crazy cost for Donaldson (I don't believe the Sox have the prospect talent for this trade, they'd need to include a major leaguer as well), teams just don't trade within their own division. Especially in the AL East.

    He looks awesome. Like with Sanchez last season, there's no way we can expect him to keep this up all year. But let the good times roll!

    I blame bad situational hitting for the loss, not Girardi. Leaving 16 men on base is not a winning formula. And two straight innings of men on 2nd & 3rd with zero/one out, and we end up with 0 runs.

    I know it's foolish of me to think that the Yanks will suck again once Sanchez is back.. but going 14-3 without him is pretty crazy.
