  1. Dobbins pulled after throwing 66 pitches last time out in 4 2/3 innings. He's up to 67 pitches after 4 innings today. Lets leave him in there.
  2. Hey, If you think all of my posts are so lame, you can just put me on ignore, do it, man.
  3. Very Random thought. The draft board on this site shows us picking a left handed batting shortstop with the 1st pick. Another lefty? Are we serious?
  4. Zach Eflin, today's game 1 starting pitcher, gave up 10 hits and 8 earned runs in 5 1/3 innings in his last outing against the Nationals.
  5. Our sensational rookie catcher, Carlos Narvaez (have I thanked the Yankees enough?) is batting clean up today. Kudos to Cora. He owes our slumping hitters NOTHING. Go with the hot hand. I approve this move.
  6. I completely missed on Buehler. Normal turn and he didn't throw very many pitches in his last start. I guess we can go with Newcomb (as long as he doesn't have to come in and throw 80 pitches in relief, ugh)
  7. Who is our starting pitcher for Sunday and Tuesday? Crochet should start on Monday.
  8. Per MLB.com (today's article) The MLB situation: Boston’s biggest infield question mark is at first base following Triston Casas’ season-ending injury. The Red Sox generated plenty of intrigue by first working Kristian Campbell out there last Friday, and it appears the club is still batting around the idea of sliding him over instead of relying on other stopgap options like Abraham Toro, Nick Sogard and the currently injured Romy Gonzalez. That’d open up the clearest lane for Mayer, even with shortstop Trevor Story enduring a rough offensive and defensive season. When a promotion could come: Unlike Anthony, there is a distinct path for Mayer to reach Boston soon. Alex Bregman departed Friday's contest early with right quad tightness, and with the Sox in win-now mode, they could turn to their No. 2 prospect at any time in the coming days-to-weeks, especially as he gets settled in at second.
  9. Last 4 starts for Bello. 4.0-4.1-4.2-4.2 innings. Maybe Fitts takes his spot, or not.
  10. Wilson had not given up a run in his last 10 outings. Maybe Slaten can help him out here.
  11. I'm impressed. I mentioned 7 moves. And you've countered with 7 no's. And Moon thinks your reading comprehension is slightly off. (Old Red, love your threads, this is all in jest)
  12. Narvaez now hitting .291 with OPS of .821. Thanks Yanks. Sox now with 5 hitters over .800 OPS. .972 Devers .965 Refsnyder .938 Bregman .847 Abreu .837 Narvaez
  13. It's time for Mr. Campbell to move to 1B. Rafaela to SS. Sit down Story. Move Duran to center and Anthony to left. Mayer to 3B and Grissom to 2B. The future is now.
  14. Story just went under .600 OPS line. Now at .598. 12th worst in the majors. He is ahead of Mr. Mountcastle of the Orioles.
  15. If Bregman is out on IL and Mayer not called up, Brez will be crucified.
  16. 59 pitches after 3. Gives up 2 runs. Walks off the mound with his chest out. I sure am not a big fan of his lately.
  17. I can't stand the guy anymore.....sorry. He is in my big doghouse.
  18. Here comes Mr. Strikeout....it will be outside of the strike zone. Will leave with dazed look to the dougout.
  19. I voted Other Campbell to 1B. (I'd go with this until Casas returns)(also assuming he's not hitting .100 or becomes a defensive liability at 1B) Rafaela to 2B/SS Refsnyder can fill in/semi platoon for Abreu in right. Mayer at SS/2B Trade Story, pick up some money.
  20. The new ownership was to bring money to the table. I read somewhere the Orioles and the Sox were two of the most profitable teams last year. The new ownership put the money in their pocket.
  21. This will be an interesting day. Anything less than 3-1 versus the Orioles would be very disappointing. The Orioles has given up second most runs in AL. If we can't hit their pitching, Bres needs to bring up Mayer and Anthony. I don't give a damn how he does it.
