Good 1st inning...Sox needs to score no more than 2 runs per inning and not have 8 run innings...apparently that screws up Pomeranz

When you've paid $60M for a player just a year ago, you better think twice about trading him. ($30M in two installments, plus $30M in penalty I believe)

We want him to be the ace....he's inconsistent and aces usually are more dependable.

I go with my eye test Wright was the best starting pitcher until 5 starts ago, when he started pitching poorly (I realize he may just had one blow up inning). Porcello to me always throws strikes and I like that about him. Price pitched badly at beginning but got the run support, pitched better afterwards but did not get the run support and now is on a downward trend again. If Pomeranz has a good outing and returns to his norm for the season, then Price is dead last, 5th starter. Ever since E Rod has given up throwing change up and focused more on slider, he's pitched better.

I don't believe anyone is pushing for Moncada this year. But I am pushing for Benintendi. If he's not called up by September, I'd be disappointed. Lousy infielders can really screw up a game. Outfield not as much but we've seen the last two games and what a bad outfield looks like.

I'm against taking a step back and two step forwards approach, when two steps forward is not guranteed. No way I'd trade Betts. I know that Moon battled with many posters about Mookie batting lead off but he's been proven right. Although I can see him hitting 3rd at some point.

Ziegler is succeeding because he lives in the lower 1/4 of the strike zone. Price looks to throw much more in the upper zone.

In all seriousness, they need to cut loose Clay.....it's bad for team chemistry. Here's a guy that's been here for several years, been told he's out of rotation. Why tease and torment the guy with token relief? Get rid of him and bring in Kelly. If he fails, trade his ass......find out if these guys can do the job and move on when it doesn't work out.
