Hey Hitch, Sox needs to do MORE than what the Phillies are doing. We are close to getting into the playoffs. Then what? A hope and a prayer? We will have wasted one year of production from 26 players on the roster if we don't do everything we can to improve our chance of success. That probably means nothing to you. We think differently.

Very much, but if we are switching out Matz for Bernardino, it's only a good move if Bernardino is pitching poorly because of over usage.
  3. Nick
MassLive believes Matz will simply replace Bernardino for now. Apparently Bernardino is overtaxed and needs a break. Matz has pitched well against the lefties but this move seems like a side way deal. It's hard for me to get excited about. Typical Red Sox GM move. Meanwhile in Philadelphia, THE REAL MAN is improving his playoff bound team. Bunch of Ivy League sissies in Sox organization. Get me a man.

I don't know if we have enough bullets, but Cease, Duran and 1B man would get us to the promised land, me thinks. I'm okay with emptying the farm as long as they are not pitchers.

I certainly don't think Crochet is being babied. I did not see that second article. My bad.....it just seem weird that they had TBD. That was me being stupid.

With Cease, it's worth it to give up a high level, positional prospect for a rental. No pitchers though. We have enough, young positional players. It's worth gambling on a starting pitcher that can give us a lift.

Per Mass Live Friday, 7:10 p.m. ET — RHP Hunter Brown (9-5, 2.54 ERA) vs. TBA Saturday, 4:10 p.m. ET — LHP Colton Gordon (4-3, 4.74 ERA) vs. RHP Walker Buehler (6-6, 5.72 ERA) Sunday, 11:35 a.m. ET — LHP Framber Valdez (11-4, 2.62 ERA) vs. RHP Lucas Giolito (7-2, 3.80 ERA) How can they be so stupid? I think that TBA is Crochet......Buehler pitches after Crochet. Lazy writers.

Giants in spiral since Rafael Devers trade as postseason chances dwindle...we are lucky not to have him on our team.....who will want to play with him? He went from friendly hitting ball park to spacious Giants Stadium.

Cora keeps saying we need Yoshida. What the hell is he talking about? We have 9 guys hitting over .700, including 5 over .800 (Bregman over .900). We have two more guys, Story and Mayer that should be hitting over .700. Why do we need Yoshida? We got million DH's. He needs to sayonara back to Nihon and catch some rays.

Story now 2-21. Best streaker on the team.

Where's the cavalry promised by Bres? I have a bad feeling about this trade deadline. Another year to punt.
  12. Nick
we have a winner...he's a wimp. He'll be second coming of Matt Barnes, later years.
  13. Nick
    I'm impressed.....really.

Just had a flashback of movie Dinner. Did your wife have to pass series of sports quiz, for Red Sox fans, before she was allowed to marry you? this is for Duran the Man.

Fitts sucks....58 pitches and Cora takes him out. Cora knew Fitts was just lucky. Getting hit hard, walking batters, saved by double plays. We better get a better starting pitcher than this joke. And Bres says he's doing everything to improve this team. Show me the starting pitcher who doesn't suck like Fitts. How's that for negativity? Lol
  16. Nick
Another waste of double by Duran. All or nothing Story strikes out, Yoshida with his little league grounder to 2B......Lot of money wasted on these two guys...
  17. Nick
I have decided to move on from Fitts. He gets hit hard all the time. Next!

For the poster giving me a hard time about me saying at some point we want Anthony lifting the ball. Well the expert on NESN said the same. It's asinine to pound a 100+mph balls into the ground for rest of your career. That's not where the money nor the value to the team is....
  19. Nick
Nice piece of hitting by our veterans....Yoshida SUCKS. Duran overall does tons of good things.....but too much going on inside his head.
  20. Nick
    We're 11-16 when Wong starts......46-34 when Wong doesn't start......
  21. Nick
You are right. Cot's has it wrong.......
  22. Nick
I would still trade Duran and minor leaguers for Joe Ryan. Just think about it. He can help us THIS YEAR. Then follow up with 3 more years of team control. I'd empty the farm for this guy (non pitchers). Throw in Kristian Campbell while you're at it (along with some spending money)
  23. Nick
Rangers travel to LAA and Seattle for 6. Then come home to face the Yankees and the Phillies for 6. Someone needs to cool them off.
  24. Nick
What is Christian Campbell up to?
  25. Nick
Narvaez turned out to be a big pickup. He looks confident at the plate. His winter ball experience has really paid off......
