I read an article Oakland A's were pissed that 'transit' people decided to stop it at 10 pm and forced many fans not to attend. They ran the transit for San Francisco game late into the night. I guess it sucks to live in Oakland.

Betts was paid $10M in 2020. Recorded WAR of 3.6 Verdugo was paid $223K in 2020. Recorded WAR of 2.2. Verdugo is being paid $644.5K in 2021. His WAR as of today is 1.6. Verdugo has recouped what we gave up for Betts with WAR of 3.8 vs 3.6. Whatever Betts does in 2021 and beyond is covered by his contract with the Dodgers We have 3 additional years of Vedugo. We also received Wong and Downs in the trade. It was good trade for us.

Cot's baseball contract does not show any type of payroll amount for Danny Santana. Maybe they felt he didn't deserve any money....just kidding...I can't help myself. So he signed a minor league contract on 3/5/21. His major league amount was $1.75M with up to $1M in bonuses. Sox picked up his major league contract on 5/21/21. So I'm guessing he'll earn about 75% of his pay? $1.3M or thereabouts? I e-mail them...they are good about responding. Just a fyi.

Mets beating Yankees 8-3 after 6. When can we start feeling sorry for them? They have tough trip to Seattle and to Houston before the All-Star break. If I'm Hal, I wouldn't worry too much about 2021. He better get ready for 2022 season. Aaron Judge will get a hefty raise this winter. Arbitration #3 coming up.

It appears we've lengthened our hitting order.....#1-#6 is more fun than #2-#5. Kike is doing fine now as a leadoff hitter....just looks more confident Renfroe is doing his thing from #6 spot I'd guess Arroyo will take over 2B when he returns...#7#8/#9 spot Vaz is Vaz...#7/#8/#9 It sure would be nice if Dalbec turned it up a notch....#7/#8/#9 spot

I've got NOTHING.....the team is playing well.... Even though he gave up a home run last night, I love watching Whitlock pitch. When you attack the strike zone often, home runs will come. The key is not to have guy on base on a walk. I love his pace. Whitlock gets the ball back and he's ready to fire. You see slow walking people all the time. Whitlock is a fast walker.
