Bregman, Abreu, Anthony, Rafaela (cf ONLY), Narvaez, Story...these guys have to be in lineup every day

Bregman is an All-Star hitter, and that's why you don't have to sit guys...so Cora looks like a genius but maybe he should just be in that lineup anyway...I realize the quad, but silly, let him play.

Anthony is a good one, he's better than Benintendi even though Beni started out his career gangbusters.

The reason why Devers, and I don't really care if he's 'fat' or he's selfish or he's not hitting for Giants....the reason he makes a difference is he could just have been the full-time DH and we had an extra RBI hitter in the lineup on a daily basis...nah, we'd rather have singles hitter Yoshida occupy DH or even play LF...just don't see it as a winning formula. You don't think he wouldn't have hit a bomb or 2 at Wrigley?

Also surprised lefty for Cubs who dominated Yoshida doesn't get another batter....sometimes it's over-managing...just because you got matchups doesn't mean you can't allow for your lefty to face Story to start inning. But that is today's game

This is why I don't care about platoons either...Yoshida gets to hit off a lefty but not power-hitting Abreu? You are not going to get better at hitting same side pitching by sitting.

Law of averages, also aces deserve offense and often do get rewarded for keeping a game close

The game isn't over, but it does feel like it...except one swing changes the game...when that swing occurs, no one knows...or if it even happens.

Crochet is unbelievable pitcher...doing what he can to keep his team in a game. I don't know what else he is supposed to do when Sox offense is brutal

this is the inconsistency of the platoon that I am sick of...If Yoshida can't be pinch hit for with a runner on 3rd lefty v lefty, then what's the point of having the back up righty hitters..it's not like Yoshida is Devers

this is what an ace is for...a stopper...you don't hear that term much any more...the stopper...I always felt that was Senior Stopper Luis Tiant, then Rocket, then Pedro...Crochet is that type of guy and I think he will throw a no-hitter.

Yes, they have been terrific v. lefties...but you don't need to start Wong, and Duran and Abreu are guys that can hit for power or drive the ball in gaps.

I'm on this board of late because first the Devers trade irked me, but then I'm also a fan and when the 10-game win streak occurred, I see all these possibilities and then the moment I put faith in them, start taping games...that's when the bad hits...but it's one series so far and Crochet is probably going to throw a no-hitter today

Wong, still without a hit this season with a runner in scoring position, seemed a candidate for a pinch-hitter in the seventh. Cora said he didn’t consider it, saying, “You got to trust your players. He’s playing today for a reason, and I felt like it was a good matchup lefty against him. It just didn’t work.”

bottom 3 hitters I think didn't strike out, and why is Rafaela hitting so low in the lineup when he was hot? I realize platoons have been a thing for years on Sox/MLB, but there has to be a point where you dish it sometimes for a consistent lineup that produces. Do guys need time off? Does a Duran simply not allowed to face a lefty? So if it's okay for Wong to get a thumbs up from his manager to come through in a clutch situation, is it not also wrong to say hey let some of the lefty batters to face lefty pitchers.

Cora's answer was poor, when you have a guy who can't drive in a run EVER this season, you don't have a choice but to pinch hit...dumb managing.
