  1. Kelly has become unreliable. Not much you can do. One year the Sox left Wakefield off the playoff roster for being less effective. It happens.
  2. I called 110 wins at the start of the season...I really did in a text to my brother. He was like am I nuts? Well, clearly, but I really believed the Sox had so many weapons and the addition of Cora's philosophy. Just seemed like they had all these pluses.
  3. Amazing season, enjoying it all...Go Sox!!!
  4. ...this chatroom after 103 wins
  5. For improbable wins, of course, game 6 v. Yankees in 04...but still, what an amazing win.
  6. Willie Mays Hayes gives Sox the win. Most improbable win in Sox history...Unreal.
  7. #0 Brandon Phillips.
  8. They can have "Bench Day" as in make it a new Fenway promotion alumni game. Bring out some of the guys who were most killed by sitting on the bench after 5-for-5 games....Dante Bichette. Jimy Williams would be the manager for the promotional game. They can bring back guys like Roger LaFrancois, who I think once spent an entire year on the roster and barely played if at all. You can bring back Bill Lee and Fergie Jenkins too, who can talk about how Zimmer banned them from the staff. Nomar would make an appearance too for sitting during the 04 Yankee series before being traded. Also the grand sons of Mel Parnell and Ellis Kinder and others on the 1949 staff for being ignored for the one-game playoff because McCarthy chose Denny Galehouse (Rocks!). Lastly, we can have a return of Jim Willoughby, who is still wondering why he was yanked for rookie Jim Burton in game 7, 75, even though pre-Milwaukee Brewer superstar, light-hitting Sox version Cecil Cooper was sent to pinch hit for him for no apparent reason (1-for-21) or whatever he was in that WS. Oh Bench Day!!!!! Go Sox!!!
  9. I've always been of the opinion that Vasquez is overrated as a defender. I'm with moon, go with Leon/Swihart.
  10. Ricky is a late bloomer at the plate!!! His 42 plate appearances overall is too small a sample size (always hated that example..sample size)...
  11. How bout Porcello's hitting? .429...Bradley can take some notes.
  12. Swihart is athletic and wants to be out there...Leon is a great pitcher's catcher.
  13. For doing his job, yes on Nunez...you better hustle down the line in MLB
  14. It was a walk-off botched double play ball, they should have thrown gatorade on the official scorebook.
  15. vegas, that's why he is mini-me MVP--Brian Johnson
  16. Brian Johnson, team's mini MVP...bottom line, he keeps his team in games every start.
  17. The Sox not hitting a home run....very disappointing...:-(
  18. I still loved Jason Bay...just like I loved Nick Esasky...1-year wonders for Sox.
  19. Swihart was held on to as the backup to the backup plan..and of course, he's worked out well enough in his spots. Every Sox contributes something it seems...offense, defense, with Holt-dugout fun, baserunning, etc.
  20. Station on September 1, the Sox will bring up 917 relievers...there is no taxed pen.
  21. max, it's like a never-ending highlight reel of fun...2018
  22. Pen rested for what? For wins 91, 92,93? Up 7-0, no need to tax Price
  23. And if he doesn't? You afraid of the Sox pen?
  24. from when? last week?
