  1. Bradley could hit 200 the rest of his life, and I still would put him out there 162 games a year.
  2. Wright had a 26-inning scoreless streak or something like that...Eovaldi starts off with 15...this team is torrid, hot, molten lava sizzling burn your hand in 2 seconds steaming hot!!!!! Go Sox!!!!! Moreland/Pearce an animal!!! Everyone goes on 10-day DL...and who cares!!! Up 8-1/2 ....Love this team, love the manager, love the approach and let's face it, Kimbrel might be Full-Back Don Stanton but sure as hell isn't blowing games the way the Bullpen By Committee did that one fateful season.
  3. 19 hits, batting practice, 4 steals, what's not to like...Betts, JD, and Beni putting on a binge hit show only to be upstaged by Pearce's 3 jacks...Go Sox!!!
  4. Bandwagoning or not, I can't even try to criticize anything DD or Cora has done for this team.
  5. Forgot one of the great arguments of the past, but I think it was...catcher's ERA. Go Tommy Harper!!! and El Tiante!
  6. exactly. they won't lose anyone. It will be DL or something to get to Sept. 1. Or one less pitcher. I don't think you can have enough bench guys. Extra inning game is a good example. Pinch hitting is a lost art, but the Sox have opportunities to change things up during any game now.
  7. Joe F, I'm not a Vasquez fan either. It's interesting that the pitching has been very good in his absence with all 3 big name SPs really pitching well. Leon has done a great job with the staff, and how bout that out stealing play where he had so little time to get runner with a big jump. He has sneaky fast release
  8. Foy!!!!! Yesssssssssssssssssssss get in there (ode to billybluejay). long time, my man.
  9. illinois, there are so many movies even from the 90s you couldn't even attempt to make today. It's just out of hand now. That's why they do Marvel and Horror. It's like what else can you do? Humor is gone.
  10. Trying to win World Series, great move.
  11. I'm sure people were going nuts over some of the injuries and the Hanram release, but frankly everything worked out. Pedroia out, no problem. Wright, Pomeranz injured..no problem. Keep 100 hitting Swihart and allow JBJR to go through his annual 2-month slump..no problem.
  12. All I can say is that hopefully the big guys can keep hitting in the postseason and the starting pitching can at least do better than last year. It's hard to win a World Series, period. But this team has virtually every tool to do so. Especially with Eavoldi in rotation.
  13. The power is ridiculous since Cora threw out the old playbook and said let's swing away at first pitches. Let's try to barrel up as often as possible and in any situation.
  14. Can't find a better baserunning Sox team in my opinion. They really know how to steal, hit and run occasionally, and they gallop on any extra base hit. Sox runners are just fast.
  15. The pitching on this team has been nothing short of brilliant...Kelly even had a good inning for a change.
  16. JimyWocky was benching Bichette after he went 4-for-4...that was when the team had virtually no depth and still Jimy couldn't figure out who to play.
  17. I remember all we did was bitch back in those days. We had no choice.
  18. It is I from the long ago Can chat of Globe...
  19. This is by far the only Red Sox team I think I've seen where it's virtually impossible to be upset about anything. There is just nothing to really say. That's why I stayed away from board for so long.
  20. Cora showed a lot of faith in Swihart when Hanley released...paying off now
  21. not too many walk-off, ground rule doubles...that's rare
  22. Where all the white women at?
  23. I'm a big fan of Price and his performance as a reliever in the past postseason. He needs to step up and be that type of pitcher in big games. When he signed that giant contract, he became public microscope guy and he has to have a big season in 2018 especially with Sale and Kimbrell on the staff.
