  1. come on, now. Yes, it's due to injuries--but let's also be real here...this is April 14 and a team about to face a great lefty (which naturally the Sox will win 18-3) and Dalbec is 0-12, 7 Ks and you got minor leaguers occupying lineup spots. I call them as I see them...this is not a very good roster, no depth if you want to cover for the Story, Devers injuries.
  2. is this the worst lineup in Sox history? Pretty close and certainly since pre-Yaz. RED SOX (8-7): Duran LF, Reyes 2B, O’Neill RF, Casas 1B, Dalbec 3B, Yoshida DH, Wong C, Rafaela CF, Hamilton SS
  3. Andrew Bailey for Mayor?
  4. Great man. He did great things with Sox. LL RIP
  5. Look I'm just happy the starting pitching has promise...I'll take that.
  6. Imagine had the Sox actually just spent the money on Betts...oh that's right, add up the other s***** signings since 2018 and it more than covers Betts contract.
  7. It was necessary as he is the only star on the team--Devers..they have nothing left from 2018...it was a bone thrown for Sox season ticket holders to latch on to...as not much meat on that bone.
  8. Our ownership has made it clear Sox are a low-budget franchise. It's today's world...until somebody actually wants to spend some cash other than all the money poured on to Sale, then Story.
  9. The fact that I came back, proves the 12-step program works...oh wait, I mean the 12 shot program.
  10. Well one thing noticeable is clearly last year's pitching coach was a joke. Brasier remarking how the Dodgers fixed his problem almost immediately. Breslow is a pitcher's GM or a guy who obviously knows his stuff in that area as a former hurler so maybe this part of the Sox gets better with Bailey at PC. Plus young staff that can develop...these are good things for a low-budget organization like the Sox.
  11. McGuire is today's Sandy Leon
  12. Pretty incredible considering. Great pitching can solve a lot of things in a hurry. If the pen holds up, they will win more than lose.
  13. I completely blame ownership. Just like I have congratulated ownership in the past. Both go hand and hand. When Henry and Kraft wanted it, they were all in, then after the titles not so much.
  14. Brady should buy the Sox...maybe someone like that would actually care about winning again. Henry, Kraft...I think both have habitually sucked since our last titles. Sure it's business, but I guess once you reach the mountain top, then it's okay to in turn mail it in.
  15. It's kind of fun to watch a minor league team at the big league level...refreshing...thank god I'm not a season ticket holder.
  16. Story right up there worse than Panda...horrible signing....Crawford..that one was one for the ages...as in bad.
  17. don't disagree....I was pumped when Schwarber was acquired, thinking maybe they would actually re-sign him.
  18. I've never been more excited about Red Sox baseball in the last 5 years than today.
  19. Breslow has been nothing but brilliant in his moves so far...can't think of a team in a better position than the 2024 Boston Red Sox...Go Sox!
  20. Feel like zero pressure on Breslow...Bloom performed miserably overall under pressure, but now? It's who cares.
  21. The only constant in Sox Baseball is Sale saying he sucks after a bad start....or sucks after going back on the Injured list. We always have that. I miss the days of ripping Kimbrel as closer on a great team. I was there at the game 5 finale at Dodger Stadium...never forget it...great times..now just great memories as Sox will challenge for best 81-81 team.
  22. Fans who get season seats for this team right now are wasting their money.
  23. Yeah, not sure why they don't just go all kids and call it a day. At least that way you build on it.
  24. I had to laugh when Verdugo was in full compliment mode on Chaim...but maybe he had a point on all that. Bloom was given directives for sure. Dombrowksi got to open the money bags and it paid off in 18. Breslow is up against it, and because no one has any expectations anymore, there has never been a New England sports GM that has less pressure on him than Brez. It's not like the team is going to compete anytime soon.
