  1. In a very rare turn, I’ve also been a voice of optimism. Also occasionally injected reality with how little other teams have done…
  2. Luzardo - surplus value $63.3mill with three seasons of control remaining… Mayer ($44.5), Perales ($3.5), and Mata ($2.3) is just as short at $50.3 mil as it looks in real life. BTV accepts Mayer ($44.5), Teel ($17.8), and Luis Guerrero ($1.5) for a total of $63.8. It looks more realistic as well, but I have no idea if Miami accepts…
  3. That wouldn’t get you Luzardo…
  4. I hope Teoscar Hernandez isn’t…
  5. He was pitching through a divorce. Certainly not a physical injury, but it can be tough for some people…
  6. You have officially let me down. Can you at least give me a vomit emoji? I will consider that act keeping you true to your word…
  7. He’s a difference maker over Jacque Jones Opener starts…
  8. Ok. Finally. Not my top choice but certainly has potential. Plus Bellhorn has promised to puke if this happens…
  9. Well, to be fair the collective set is better than most rotations. If not all. But we were never going to get more than one of them. Yesterday’s NY Post listed the Sox as participants in the Snell Hunt…
  10. Same world, but I only liked one of them for Boston anyway…
  11. Saddest part is you post this as if you’re not one of the most active participants in that type of behavior. You, like all of us, have every right to act childish out here. That’s everyone’s (least popular) prerogative. But at least own it…
  12. Right now I’m living in a world where very few teams are making any moves. But it’s getting to be more, now with Toronto adding some gloves this week. Hopefully Boston makes some moves sooner rather than much later…
  13. I blame Franchy for himself. That whole scenario was just wrong. I also blame Franchy for Dalbec. Just because…
  14. Given how the Sox have spent recently, I’d think you would be arguing against any more activity. It’s like the team Kris hitting itself over the head with a hammer, and the proposed solution is to get a more expensive hammer…
  15. Each of them has given me reason to question them at various times. I could see Cora pitching for Kike, and I have no issues with that. Probably done similar things before. But my issue was how he simply never stopped once it was evident it was not working. I’ve also theorized Cora might have suggested Arroyo in RF as a way to get him in the lineup. But this also makes me question his commitment to defense, since the option of playing the better fielding and worse hitting Bradley was always there for the man who fills out the lineup cards…
  16. Read your own post. It was solely about free agency. If you changed topics mid-stream with no transition, that’s on you. Not that you can ever admit that…
  17. 1. Straight up speculation. Albeit not ridiculous speculation. 2. Still on Bloom for enacting Plan B in such a ridiculous fashion (Mondesi)…
  18. Finances are not the only way to be active in the offseason…
  19. What gives us credibility with that gripe?
  20. I pointed that oout earlier. I think Bloom also took too long to give Hamilton - who was killing AAA pitching - a shot…
  21. I think that counter argument has been made by every non-Ranger fan at some point this off-season…
  22. Also it was only 67 innings….
  23. I don’t even like speaking for players and execs. Now you’re asking me to diagnose a player?
  24. Point? Kike is a good baseball player. He just isn’t a good shortstop…
  25. My comment about DD’s inaction so far was more of an example that Breslow isn’t the only one…
