  1. I think Montgomery is still in play. I have my doubts about Snell…
  2. This guy https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/d/dunanjo01.shtml
  3. But then doing something because “you had to” still trumps ignoring the issue altogether. That latter option is still in play here…
  4. Unless he sucks the first year but then is good the second. I’m hoping Bailey can fix him…
  5. Deadline deal is also possible. Of course, they might be in a position to buy at the deadline, too…
  6. Or yours with me. You seem to keep repeating back things I’ve said to discredit me. Even though it’s been shown you blatantly (and intentionally?) misquote me in the process. Either way, your obsession with moon tops either of those situations. I assume you have a shrine in your basement dedicated to his avatar…
  7. That just makes him more likable in my eyes…
  8. You changed the scale. The original numbers were per 175 IP, not per season. Montgomery had a 3 year stretch where he totaled 75 IP. If you use his numbers not counting last year, his 9.9 fWAR per 566 IP converts to 3.1 fWAR per 175 IP. That’s barely a noticeable drop over when you include 2023…
  9. Or.. how about he keeps whatever EVP isn’t. I assume that’s a much smaller list…
  10. And if it goes well, he gets an easily rejectable qualifying offer…
  11. Your obsession with moon is far, far creepier…
  12. That’s a mystery. I have to think Dombrowski offered that deal at a minimum, right? He wasn’t exactly one to hold back on the cash…
  13. No Schreiber in 2021? Also, compared to 2024 with O’Neill, Giolito, Grisham and Slaten, Bloom looks like an annual house cleaner…
  14. The only thing they have going for them is that after Bellinger, the available outfield talent drops precipitously. Teams like Houston, Cleveland, San Diego, and Cincinnati that have questionable starting outfields might be more interested soon. I assume the Sox OF on the move is Duran, but it might just as easily be Rafaela or Abreu…
  15. I would have greatly preferred locking up Bogaerts over Sale, although none of us knows what it would have taken to lock up Bogaerts in a deal with no opt outs…
  16. He made moves. Maybe not moves you liked, but he did his due diligence (except for Mondesi) and acquired players. In July, he was useless…
  17. Maybe to move Duran for a SP? I’m much more ok with those moves if the follow ups address weaknesses while clearing logjams…
  18. I would have been with that of the one we kept was Betts…
  19. Given the astute observations from his eye test, that seems plausible…
  20. They ignored the medical opinions of both Bagwell and Biggio!?!!? And probably relied on an actual doctor exam, huh? What were they thinking? I mean, they should have at least brought in Chipper Jones for a second opinion. Story also played 2b in 2022, and was absolutely outstanding there defensively. His missed time that season was from an unrelated HBP…
  21. Bloom made moves during the off-season. Once April rolled around, he fell into a deep sleep…
  22. And that happened since I wanted him. However, his numbers in Minnesota are definitely influenced by inconsistent playing time and position…
  23. Yes. Give in to the Dark Side. Release your anger!! Only your hatred can destroy me!
  24. Story’s bat was always in question, but his defense never was…
  25. I’m not sure you ever will either. But I might settle for going a week without posting it…
