  1. Agreed. No point in losing another game or two by burning out the bullpen chasing a game that’s 11-0!in the second…
  2. Errors usually erase RBI. Walks and HBP award RBI if a runner is forced in from third. Balks are another way to score with no RBI...
  3. Fair. Kershaw would have been better, but his 30s were just not as dominant as his 20s. But is Kershaw the best pitcher to spend his entire career with one team since Bob Gibson? Or do we go back to Koufax? Feller? Or all the way back to Walter Johnson? (There are fewer candidates than you think.) I stop at Gibson. Opinions? Did I miss a more recent choice?
  4. 0. Those are health food. Might as well ask about his granola consumption……
  5. Especially when you consider by the time Kershaw was Connelly’s age, he was 61-37, with a 2.79 ERA across 944 IP, along with a Cy Young award and 25.0 bWAR on his resume…
  6. … unless someone wanted Brandon Lowe…
  7. I saw Pablo Sandoval go from 295 to 340 on one road trip…
  8. Thats the issue with the Sox bullpen - too many arms best suited for mop up duty…
  9. I’m hoping this is a step in that direction. There’s no need for umpires to keep performing the impossible task of monitoring the strike zone any more…
  10. Do you actually watch MOONSHINERS? Or just the highlights?😉
  11. Maybe Cora is trying to get Breslow fired. “I’m going to put s***** defenses on the field, make questionable bullpen moves, and no more stolen bases until they give me a CBO I like.”
  12. The Sox are basically the midpoint for OBP. 15th in MLB. 8th in the AL. They're just flat out not running any more…
  13. The removal of the stolen base is a big deal. No idea why they just aren’t running. Small point, but I believe you meant “longball”, not “largeball”. No one says largeball…
  14. No, he should not. Unless you can somehow rationalize how flipping Story and Mayer in the infield constitutes “cheating”…
  15. I could watch Cora go. I’ve been souring on him more since I learned how deeply involved he was in the Houston cheating scandal, and his handling of Devers last year just felt non-managerial. He can go…
  16. For the last time, “K-Pop Demon Hunters” is NOT a love story…
  17. I don’t see the point in attacking ownership. It’s so much easier to get a worse owner than a better one. Henry could spend more, but he’s a far cry from Carl Pohlad, and our big drop in the payroll rankings was a brief “plummet” out of the top ten to number 11. I don’t consider this unsurvivable…
  18. I don’t by the s***** roster thing. We’re playing the Twins. A team that unloaded Danny Coulombe, Griffins Jax, Jhoan Duran, Brock Stewart, Louis Varland, Ty France, Harrison Bader, Willi Castro, Chris Paddock, and Carlos Correa in one weekend ladt year, and in return they got Mick Abel, Taj Bradley and James Outman and a slew of players still in the minors. Their big offseason additions were Josh Bell, Victor Caratini and Tristan Gray (I know.) Oh and they lost Pablo López for the year. Do the Twins have a good roster? Have you seen it ? But they have a good W-L record and are second in the AL in runs scored. After winning 70 games a year ago. Look around MLB. The Sox roster is nowhere near as bad as many seem to think. Their performance has been, however…
  19. The Twins lit up Skubal and Framber on consecutive night last week…
  20. The Sox starting pitching is coming around. The bullpen is Whitlock and Chapman and a pile of crap, man…
  21. Minnesota is second in the AL in runs scored, trailing only MLB leader Houston…
  22. Crochet is a unique case. He was drafted in June, 2020 and debuted for the White Sox in September, 2020. In between those date, he did not play minor league ball because, well, there was no minor league ball in 2020. Did this hurt his development? No idea. But he’s not a good example to compare to Tolle since it’s already too late for Tolle to skip the minors…
  23. Neither of us can know if they were to blame for that. They did the same thing with Sale. Was it their fault he needed TJS nine years later? COVID was a bigger factor in Crochet’s lack of minor league development…
