  1. Travis is Plan B or C. Let him start the season in Pawtucket and work a few things out
  2. Usually that release happens after the signing is announced...
  3. Has this insider divulged anything yet? Otherwise he/she may not be much of an insider...
  4. We have an insider? Wow, this is like the old days on the ESPN boards. (True story)...
  5. A Giants fan? And you can use a computer? J/K
  6. So if Randy Moss became a wonderful human being and scored 22 touchdowns for the Jets, you would have appreciated him?
  7. Good thing you posted that. I was just about to sign Eric Hosmer. You posted that just in time...
  8. Yes. But unlike you my nipples remained unperked...
  9. You have to bear in mind jackson has a little bit of a man crush on Judge...
  10. Why read about his stats on Twitter? https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=otani-000sho
  11. Ever been to San Diego? I'd LOVE to live there over any of those cities you mentioned. If we're just looking at cities, what is the selling point of Seattle (where his power also won't play well) over San Diego?
  12. Sure Belicheck deserves a lot of credit. Except for Nilan. Really its more a pont of suddenly rooting for guys you used to root against. Remember when we all hated Don Baylor?
  13. I thought you said Gordon should fetch them quite a return..
  14. He had an OPS+ of 94 and has a career OPS+ of 93. That makes him a below average hitter...
  15. His undying hatred for 35HR Gold Glove winning corner infielders who hit the market before age 30, no doubt. Machado probably isn't a pleasant person. But I'm not planning on hanging out with him. And if I can survive Rodney Harrison, Randy Moss, Corey Dillon, Chris Nilan and numerous other former villains on my teams, I think I can handle Machado. It's funny how changing laundry can make a guy more palatable to the fanbase...
  16. Sarcasm? I hope so..
  17. Or sign Yonder Alonso, who is Manny Machado's brother-in-law, as a recruiter for Manny and a 1B/DH for a couple seasons, instead of Santana. If the Sox sign a 1B and Martinez, it's very possible (and sad) that Bradley gets dealt, so the 2018 lineup could be: C Vazquez 1B Devers 2B Pedroia 3B Machado SS Bogaerts LF Martinez CF Benintendi RF Betts DH Alonso
  18. MLBTR had the Sox signing Morrison, not Santana. I could see Dombrowski going big after both players. It's certainly possible. I'd prefer he didn't and went after Manny Machado next year...
  19. Maybe. I also think people are making way tyoo big of a deal out of this. It's also possible he assumed the question was about Price and possibly Thornburg and Smith. Basically thinking TJ surgeries.
  20. Supposedly Stanton will make a decision within the next 3 days. Chatwood was one of those players who was really not being held up by Ohtani and Stanton, so it's good to see at least one domino fall. It's also sad that on December 7, he's the biggest name to sign so far. Next week could be very intriguing. I think Stanton will accept the trade to SF. The Cardinals will then go get Jose Abreu (offering something based around either Alcantra or Carson Kelly). The Red Sox will make an offer to JD Martinez. Boras will reject that offer because he does not let his own players sign in December. The Red Sox will then go sign Carlos Santana by the end of next week...
  21. H = Didn't think anyone would make a big deal about it.
  22. Thwe Hall of Fame is a museum, and the job of a museum is to preserve history, not to censor it. Also there are arguments to be made that no one you named as a definite PED user even cheated...
  23. Better get going on that. Several have already signed elsewhere, including the biggest name of the bunch. TEchnically every team can go all in on these guys, because MLB has allowed teams to use funds from their 2018 Internatioanl Signing money to sign them...
  24. I had him pegged for Seattle a while ago. But I really want to see him go to San Diego. That city deserves something, especially since they have so little left on the pro sports front...
  25. You can't say that about him until he breaks a scoreboard. Also don't forget about the sneaky freakish power of Justin Upton. He's way up on that list, too...
