I’ve made numerous new threads and will make more. There have been some complaints, but some of these threads have gone on for several pages as well. And if the topic is specific enough, they can focus on one specific discussion. At least until they diverge, which they often do. But such is life on message boards. Frankly, I don’t see the big deal in making new threads. And while some view is BDC veterans as the outsiders, it’s not like they’re not participating in new threads. If the discussion is interesting enough, people will join and either or drift the messages into a more interesting and fun topic. The fact that I started s multiple page thread on Matt Tuiasosopo certainly proves this...

Bear in mind that was a survey test to determine the extent of PED usage around the league. So what players tested for does matter, because some of the tests may have been for substances that MLB was allowing but planning on banning. For example, if he tested positive for androstenedione, that was allowed by MLB in the 2003 season and was not banned until 2004. And it probably wasn’t the only substance to fit that criteria. So what any player tested positive for absolutely matters...

Spring Training games don’t usually mean much to players who know they’re on the team. Barnes has been around long enough that we know who he is (and some of us do have more faith in him than you do). Brasier? I do have more questions about him. It’s not like his 33 IP in the past several seasons combined answers everything. Like - why was he out of MLB for so long? I expect fringe guys like Lakins and Walden to try their hardest to make an impression, but we’ve seen in the past that the ability to dominate AAAA players in ST and MLB players who are just trying to not get hurt doesn’t always translate into success when those same MLB players do start trying....
