  1. I believe Station suffering through Seagal movies worked for a while...
  2. Let Jorge Polanco have his day. He’s having a great year himself...
  3. The overwhelming majority of the Sox blown saves have come before the ninth inning. How many 9th inning saves have they blown this year? I think just three. Last night for Barnes and two by Brasier (against Cleveland and Chicago). Are there any others?
  4. Yeah but do we really care if Bogaerts misses the all star game?
  5. It’s not racism. It’s me blaming Santana for my mistake. Like my wife does to me...
  6. That’s what he says now...
  7. Bobby Dalbec for 2.5 years of a struggling albeit talented Mychal Givens...
  8. Another “bad” part is Benintendi is not quite yet 25 and you’re dealing away his peak years for two players on the wrong side of 30, and doing so without even addressing the biggest weakness in this team...
  9. Less than one year ago, Benintendi ranked #14 on Fangraphs trade value list, ten spots ahead of JT Realmuto. So if JT was worth the #24 prospect per BA, along with 6 years of Jorge Alfaro plus another, is 1.5 years of a very expensive Encarnacion and Domingo Santana (who was acquired for dirt) really the best the Sox can do here?
  10. Are you relying on Steamer or the Magic 8 Ball to determine the health of several players and where Betts will be signing? Bogaerts is a Boras client and the Sox extended him. Betts might follow suit...
  11. While I doubt JDM opts out, or does opt out and isn’t re-signed by Boston, I do agree there is at least a possibility he is gone next season. But why do you think Chavis and Bradley will be? And if the Sox call up Dalbec, Duran, whoever in August, who goes (and how) to make room?
  12. Did we know Kinsler and Eovaldi were last year?
  13. That just means it wasn’t working that night. That happens, but it doesn’t change that it has been his best pitch for most of his career..,
  14. I’ll run against him when his term expires...
  15. Casas is the only one I’d mark as off limits, followed by a “maybe” on Mata...
  16. Dodgers? Rockies? Rangers? Or what about other AL teams needing an upgrade at DH? And then there are injuries that might create new voids...
  17. And all they gave up for Encarnacion in the first place was the more expensive contract of Carlos Santana..
  18. I’d actually say his curveball is his best pitch...
  19. Well, that’s the one and only reasonable solution. Stupidity is always a possibility...
  20. The Sox can always trade him and then re-sign him after the season. And he won’t even cost them a draft pick ...
  21. Throw in Justus Sheffield and either Shed Long or Jarred Kelenic and I’ll pass the message along to DD myself...
  22. It’s possible that was the plan all along...
  23. Ooooh! A pre-emptive strike for the defense!!
  24. So... you’re saying everyone will be level-headed and not reactionary and above all, remember the last 3 years over the current one?
  25. The White Sox are right behind Boston and may not go into seller mode. The Pirates, while likely out of it, could easily want a hefty package for Vazquez that simply might be unaffordable to Boston. With our limited prospects, the Sox might be better focusing on relievers like Shane Greene and Mychal Givens (who is a good pitcher but having a rough season)...
