  1. My current rankings: 1. Anthony 2. Mayer 3. Teel 4. Campbell 5. Cespedes 6. Bleis 7. Perales 8. Fitts 9. Sandlin 10. Zanetello 11. Yorke 12. Meidroth 13. Jo. Garcia 14. Jh. Garcia 15. Arias 16. E R-C 17. Early 18. Lugo 19. Dobbins 20. Jordan/Paulino/Castro
  2. Agreed. It was not a given even 4-5 weeks ago.
  3. We need to keep winning series. We can’t take this game lightly.
  4. Agreed. We might trade a prospect at #8 or worse for a rental, but not a top 7. This winter, we likely will have to trade a top 3 or 2 from Campbell, Cespedes and Bleis to just keep the other GM from hanging up.
  5. It’s not far from cool places.
  6. Did you look at the over 230 point reverse split in2023 with sample sizes of 295 and 108 PAs???
  7. On the surface, I think we will need more help in the middle IF (Mayer) than OF (Anthony) or C (we have Wong) I’m not sure this should be the deciding factor in choosing which of our top 3 prospects might be best to trade, assuming one will be traded. I hope it’s for a top controllable SP. One could argue for keeping Anthony to replace O’Neill, despite the shift even further to LHB unbalance. We also may lose Ref after 2025 and could trade Abreu, if overloaded in the OF. One could argue for keeping Teel, as the catching position is always a tough position to fill. (That is also a point for other GMs to offer more for him.) The strongest argument, to me, is to keep all 3. Personally, I’d put KCampbell 4th on my most wanted keeper list. Cespedes might be 5. As much as I think we need to keep our best pitching prospects, namely Perales, Fitts and Sandlin in that order, I’d trade any in a package for a solid ace or #2. I really like Bleis, but you have to give to get, and out OF looks loaded. If we keep Mayer, then Yorke is expendable. If we keep all 5, we can afford to trade any everyday player from Bleis on down for a SP under control.
  8. He may not end up being one, and he hasn’t been this year, so far, but his career numbers are bigger and 100 points is significant.
  9. I never used the word trend. I started out saying he has a career split about 100 points on the reverse side. I responded to a reply saying “if he continues” implying as his career has been. You added trend or think I implied it.
  10. My question was where does Ref play v LHPs, if we add Drury and Canha, and who sits if you say DH or corner OF? Please answer.
  11. He is really proving himself, this year. Most might have been happy with .665 and improved D.
  12. In 2021 he was about even. In 2019 he was 70 better v RHP. Yes, he does not need to be platooned, which was my point, but you chose to criticise me not the guy who want a Wong-Teel platoon.
  13. Why does continues automatically imply 2024, when it was a reply to a response to my career split post? Geesh.
  14. A few posts earlier I specifically said his career splits are 100 points in reverse.
  15. The list is longer, but so was the one with the three you named. Holt Marco Hernandez Dubon Marrero Lin Chavis (3B).
  16. True, but for 90 games or so, and Story’s OPS was not as good as Romy+ DHam + Valdez. The point made was about the last 6 weeks. Have we had a 2Bman better on O and D than we’ve seen the last6 weeks?
  17. Vs LHPS LF Duran CF Rafaela RF O’Neill If Rafaela plays SS: It can work, but then why add Drury?
  18. If you get Drury and Canha, where does Ref play when we face a lefty?
  19. A 2-3 would be nice, but I figure the odds at… 50% #5 35% #4 10% #3 5% #2 Or 35% no SP 35% 5 20% 4 7% 3 3% 2
  20. yup… same with others.
  21. If Wong continues with reverse splits, it’s the same as having 2 LHBing catchers, right?
  22. I would not mind a RHB at MI, but a SP is by far the top priority.
  23. Exactly. That pace is one of the best we’ve seen at MI since 2020, except Bogey
  24. I think that is what we do. We won’t have to part with a top 7 or 8 prospect, either. Maybe trade Valdez, Castro and Paulino.
  25. Westbrook was at .958 v LHPs before last nights game, and he’s on the 40, but it might be worth adding Yorke. He’s rule 5, this winter.
