  1. Woo won 2, today. JH Garcia his a granny as Sandlin pitched very well. Kelly, too. Garcia had 2 hits in the other win. Harrison allowed 10 H+BB in 5 IP, but he only allowed 2 runs. Rogers pitched very well in the 2-1 loss by POR. Futrell went 5IP allowing just 1BB & 1 hit.
  2. Criswell did very well as a SP'er for the Sox, last year. We started 9 other pitchers before him, this year. It would have been 10 had Sandoval been ready.
  3. Bernardino has had some long stretches of good pitching, but he's been inconsistent. Murphy seems about the same as Bernie, to me. I'm still not sure why a LH RP'er was so high on our deadline wish list.
  4. I said the same thing, when it happened. He showed his hand. It wasn't about being "asked to play every position," it was about sticking it to his boss- a boss that was not the one who promised he'd play 3B forvers.
  5. I agreed that posting Devers numbers is fair game. (Just don't say Toro has done better.) I agree the trade was the right thing to do, but I would not use small sample sizes to make it look like Devers sucks. (I'm fine that others post those numbers.) I think Devers will hit well, again, and it will still be the right thing to do.
  6. They seem to think lying over and over again to their customers will never catch up to them. So far, it seems to have worked. "Full throttle" "Buyers" Once again, we're back to thinking of 2026 and beyond based on a fuzzy hope, we will swing the pendulum far enough to the hear and now to be serious contender. The thing is, we don't have to spend over the tax line or empty the farm. A healthy balance can be maintained, while we win, now. We just keep choosing to put it off another year, while we stockpile 18 OF'er & DH types. (Hyperbole alert.)
  7. One package included a ML OF'er, and likely not Tolle. I'd probably have preferred that offer. I wonder if Campbell was offered or asked for. We heard "no even close," so what was that about? Would Campbell, Garcia, Arias and Early have been enough?
  8. Down here in HOU, I'm hearing how Crane identifies who he wants and gets him 90% of the time. They mentioned missing out of Josh Hader, one year, but then signing him that winter. You need a guy: you do what it takes to get him. We need Ryan more than we need 4 OF'er (and Password knocking on the 4th OF'er door.)
  9. Vs LHPs, Romy would have played at 2B or 3B (Bregman out) and Ref in RF, as before.
  10. Bieber last pitched in the bigs on 4/2/24. Sandoval on 6/21/24.
  11. DH Casas (Devers occasionally) 1B Devers (casas occasionally) 3B Bregman 2B Mayer This was the right call, even if Mayer was in hindsight for some of us.
  12. I was wrong about "the minors." See how easy it is to say it? 11.1 IP can never be considered light years over 0 IP, despite it being infinitely more.
  13. We all make mistakes, but you obviously thought Murphy was not doing that well in 2025. It's not like it was a typo. His mistaken 4.91 ERA was the central point of the post.
  14. Can anyone seriously argue that Devers at 3B and Bregman at 2B was the right thing to do, even without any spreadsheets hidden from sight?
  15. ...and confusing 2023 with 2025, among other imperfections.
  16. Okay: 4 GS and 11.1 IP= light years. Back to imperfect posts, again. 🤪
  17. Then him winning the CYA. Right!
  18. Sounds like you are back to making perfect posts, again, after a brief hiatus. 🤣
  19. Well, Sandoval was pitching in the minors, too. Then, he wasn't. How good will he be, if he does return? Better than D May?
  20. Until Holobetz wins the Cy Young.... LOL!
  21. This graphic highlights the deadline failure by Brez. I'm not for firing Brez. He's still been a plus, but those 3 should not be starters for a team on the playoff bubble. Maybe one. Maybe two in a pinch. 3 is sickening. Also, is there zero faith in Harrison?
  22. Okay. You win.
  23. I'm fine with the trade, but we haven't won the trade, yet. SF has not lost the trade, yet. When we spend the money, assuming we do, it has to be spent wisely for the trade to be a win. That's two big ifs for the trade to end up being more than even. Now, there are also some ifs that are pluses, if one or two of the players we got back do well. You keep pointing to Devers numbers after the trade and Toro's season numbers. You need to look at Toro's numbers since the trade. Devers would be better at 1B for the Sox than Toro, even now. June 6th>> .692 Devers 4 Hrs and 15 RBI .479 Toro 0Hrs and 5 RBI and a negative DRS at 1B. We have not won the trade, so far. Hicks has sucked. Toro has sucked. The others have yet to play for the Sox. The trade scorecard is TBD, but let's not say we've won it, so far, okay?
