    If TOR loses to NYY, we'll be in 3rd place all alone. If they win, it means the Yanks lost. We still remain 2 GB from the WC slot, but only 2 teams are between us and TEX (MN & SEA,) and I still think the CWS, Athletica and Rangers can easily go on a long losing stretch. Hell, only the Yanks and Rays sorta look "for real."

    Agreed. I did not think Duran for Paredes was worth it. I wanted 2 from King, Sousa or Janek, but later thought just one would be worth it. I'm not sure HOU would have done 1 for 1.

    Cespedes hit his 8th dinger (.911) and Guzman his 3rd in GRE's loss. Berrios got lit up.

    The increased focus may be paying off quicker than we imagined. Samaniego is another rookie pitcher doing well. (1.10 ERA and .616 OPS Against) Bennett did okay (4.35/ .736) Watson- not so good. Rivera, Uberstine & Gamboa have 7 IP, 4 hits, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 Ks (1.29 ERA)

    Very true, but I do feel like GMs worried more about Duran being unpredictable than others. His history was part of that. Some of his antic probably bothered some GMs.
