  1. I agree, and even if JH decides to spend way over the tax line, I'd still rather see all of it go towards pitching, RF, SS and a Devers extension.
  2. It's hard to ignore blatant lies and distortions, but maybe that's what I should do.
  3. I think the idea was per year, but still it is total revisionist warping reality, and when we call it out, they twist it into us being Bloom apologists "always" and for "all his mistakes."
  4. That's my plan A. Plan B might be to trade for a RF'er. I am not for spending big at DH, even if JH opens his wallet more than I expect him to do.
  5. I think it would have to be an either or on Brantley and Beni. We'd be back to 3 lefty left fielders and reluctantly moving Dugo to RF.
  6. Certainly just a very short term idea, but not a bad one.
  7. Not every word you say is a lie, but you work hard at it.
  8. I think everyone sees your lies. I don't care about being the first or last to see them.
  9. Pretty warped thinking, but typical.
  10. If we are looking for a DH and a boost in team OBP, what about Michael Brantley?
  11. More strawmen.
  12. It wasn't a joke. It was hyperbole.
  13. ERod is in a mental institution. Most of the others are retired. Bloom sucks for not finding the Fountain of Youth.
  14. It's all so conflicting.
  15. Then stop caring
  16. I fully understood his point and responded to one part of it.
  17. Yes, I know, and you suggested Bloom tore down the 2018 team. I was responding to that.
  18. You will never understand how long it takes to rebuild a farm and then to start seeing results. Check out when the Astros acquired their homegrown talent on the ML roster, now.
  19. You crack me up. Bloom was not the GM in 2019. He took over the 2019 team with a mandate to make massive budget cuts. Then he watched Sale and ERod sit out 2020.
  20. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/07/details-on-spring-extension-talks-between-red-sox-rafael-devers.html https://www.yardbarker.com/mlb/articles/red_sox_reportedly_offered_3b_rafael_devers_200m_contract_extension_all_star_wants_over_300m/s1_13132_37399059
  21. About the same as these reports.
  22. Seemed like he totally believed the low-ball offer reports.
  23. They spent big, early. They did not trade away top prospects, early. They spent big, later. They traded away top prospects, later.
  24. It's just a hypothetical question. Had DD stayed on, he very well may have traded Casas and Bello for a player or two that helped us get more wins- your only gauge for success. Would it have been worth it? 2nd place. One round advancement. The future is now, so it matters little if the guy(s) he got in trade are still around for 2023, right?
