    Woo let up 22 hits and walked 5! Romero & Ferguson homered. Eyanson looked good, again. 1 ER in 5.2 (3H, 3BB, 2K) Bleis homered again (3rd in 2 gms) & Arias homered and is back up to .993. Jo Garcia had 2 hits (.877.) GRE lost 11-9 as YRod, Heyman and Anderson homered. Heyman (.857) and Anderson (755) had 3 hits. SAL got a rare win. Foutch pitched no hitter for 3.

    We sucked with Duran leading off. He sucked leading off. He has the worst OBP (.255) on the active roster. (Even Narvaez at .273 is better.) He shouldn't even be batting 5th, anymore. 2026: .267 1st .333 3rd .188 5th .308 6th

    Never thought I'd be looking at the WC standings again this year. As of now, we are... 4.5 GB the Rangers and Athletics- both teams with some serious issues, too. The A's have a -48 run diff, while TEX is at -12. Of coruse, there are also 4 teams between us and them, but look: -46 HOU (+3.5 on BOS) -29 TOR (+3.5 on BOS) -23 BAL (+3) -28 MIN (+3)

    Team's OBP leaders (120+ PAs) : .375 Contreras (bats 4th) .337 Abreu (bats 3rd) .331 Rafaela (bats 2nd) .324 Yoshida .305 Gasper .284 Durbin Believe it or not, those two appear to be the best options up first. IKF is at .344 & Anthony at .354, but both are on the IL. Wong is at .362 with 107 PAs, so he could be an option. Other low PA players: .500 Cheng (4 PAs) .429 Eaton (21) .367 Seigler (30) .350 Sogard (41)

    I think he has the potential to be a .750 to .775 batter and very good to great defensive 3Bman/2Bman. More likely he'll hit near .700 to .740.

    I wasn't calling for Cheng's promotion out of any trust he'd hit over .600, but he was hot and others were not. He's also a plus defender at SS.

    Robo calls on every pitch does not slow the game down. In fact, it would speed it up due to no more wasted time on challenges and arguments from players and managers. The home plate ump makes the calls just as he does now, through a signal to his headset, so nobody would even notice,

    Today's Line-Up: 1. Yoshida DH at .640 and needs to pick it up! 2. Rafaela CF at a steady .772 3. Abreu RF at .782, which is near but under his .788 career OPS. 4. Contreras 1B at a pretty steady .900 5. Duran LF at .623 and on the decline 6. Durbin 3B at .670 and on the rise 7. Seigler 2B at .796 and fielding very well 8. Narvaez C at .574 which is up 24 points in 2 days. 9. Cheng SS (Highest OPS on the team...LOL)

    Bennett has looked pretty good. The Perales trade is barely mentioned when talking Brez deals, but maybe this one sneaks in as a big plus. He only has 5 starts, so we need to keep that in mind. He has lasted 5+ IP each start. His second and third starts were not good: 10.1 IP 13 Hits 8 ER 3BB 5K His other 3 starts have been very good or better: 16.1 IP 12 Hits 3ER 2BB 17K Overall, he has only 5 BB in 26.2 IP (one was an IBB) 22Ks is not great but not bad either, and the 4.4 K:BB ratio is very nice.

Williams Montero is ranked and at .690. Merlin Bido is at .620, Berny Ortiz at .674 and Yomar de la Rosa at .471.

    First, our pen is not overused. We are 20th in RP IP, mainly due to our strong rotation. IP pads fWAR, but we are still 10th in fWAR at 2.6. We have the second best RP ERA- at an astounding 74. We are 5th in WHIP (0.01 from 4th and 0.03 from 2nd.) We are 7th in xFIP at 93 (01 from 5rg and -2 from 3rd) We are 7th in K%-BB% at 15%. (10th in K% and 3rd best BB%) Our LOB% is 2nd at 78%, so we've done well, there. It's hard to say the pen has killed us, but we do have 8 blown saves out of 24 chances. (Chapman is 15 of 16)
