    I'm not really for demoting Casas or benching him, but McGuire needs to be in the line-up. He only has 4 PAs vs LHPs, so maybe he gets a short leash, there. Wong has started 3 games vs a RH'd SP'er. (IMO, that should stop, of McGuire needs to play somewhere else when a RH'er starts.)

    Sometimes, the start a righty, then bring in a lefty in the second or third inning.

    I went to opening day in Tampa many years ago. (We blew the game in the 9th. It was the "closer by committee" season.) It was easy in and out, and I liked the stadium. It wasn't great, but I got good seats for pretty cheap.

    Not once. I went to a couple Skeeters games when seats were discounted. No interest in going to see the Astros play the Yanks.

    I go to Astros games, when they play the Sox. My point was that there are a significant amount of baseball fans that will never become Rays fans and or attend any games not against their favorite team. It does not help small and mid market teams to have that dynamic. It's just one factor- not the whole ball of wax.

    Too many New England transplants to ever get enough people to follow the local team. It happens some, here in Houston, too. Huge city, but there are tons of non-Astros fans everywhere.

    If you look at some of DD's farm additions, they are among the top prospects in our system, now, plus Bello graduated. He did aid the gap, too.

    Agreed. The fram produced only Houck from Devers in 2017 to maybe Casas & Bello.

    I'm not convinced on the CERA early numbers, so maybe just starting McGuire at catcher more. I don't see better options replacing the others.

    I'm not asking him to prove himself, again. It may help him to work things out without hurting the big club. I'm also suggesting maybe he just sit a few games, especially vs LHPs. We need McGuire's bat in the line-up- any other suggestions?

    I don't think sending him down is giving up, but it's certainly not a vote of confidence. (I do see it as a way to work out something with his swing that is bothering him.) I'm not saying option 1 is the best choice, either. I do think we need to try to improve our offense, and right now, McGuire is one of our best hitters, and he has been since last August.     1. He could play in AAA and work on his hitting. ' 2. He could sit vs some tough lefties. I'm not talking about a permanent move, but with the way this team is hitting, our best (hottest) batters need to get ABs.

    Brasier has 41 PAs Against. 3 have been high leverage (Opps are 0-3, here.) 8 medium leverage 30 low However, 13 have been "Late & Close," where he has a .237 OPSA (best on the team as a RP'er.)
