  1. Please JDM, show us a sign that you are coming out of your mini-slump.
  2. I need to see Chris Sale pitch 7 strong innings in his final start before I get optimistic about our playoff chances. I also would like to see JDM heat up like Mookie did after he got some rest.
  3. I took another look and Trout missed even more time than Mookie did. It hurts some of his cumulatives. His percentages though are dynamite. But wow, so many walks! I feel like the walks may be hurting his MVP chances more than anything else.
  4. Blake Snell is at 21 wins (!). I wonder if he can catch up to Porcello's 22 from a couple years ago.
  5. 4-1 the rest of the way, could happen!
  6. I know a month or so ago I said Trout should win, but it looks pretty even between the two of them now. When it's close, I do agree with giving the nod to the guy whose team just broke a record for wins.
  7. I'll play! AL MVP - Mike Trout. He's a juggernaut on an otherwise mediocre team. But definitely the most valuable player in the league. AL CY YOUNG - Edwin Diaz. Closers can win when they are this dominant. He'll probably have the 2nd most saves ever in a single season.
  8. Really interesting exchange! To be fair, to those of us who have grown up with images of the Death Star, a 90 foot wide space station is pretty small :)
  9. He has an unfathomable 1.71 ERA, a 0.95 WHIP, 239 SO, and the inept Mets have given him an 8-9 win-loss record. We may see a Cy Young winner with a losing record. Incredible.
  10. I will never forget Timlin and Williamson watching helplessly as Pedro flamed out in the 8th inning.
  11. Nah, I call the hard-throwers who somehow still get hit all the time the "John Wasdin club".
  12. I'll take '97-'00 Nomar over just about anybody. He's still probably my favorite Red Sox player ever. And yes, speaking of flash, I love those throws to first while his body was flying in the opposite direction.
  13. I think closers have a really short shelf life. I wouldn't break the bank over Kimbrel. Eovaldi is the trickiest pitcher right now for me to judge. I'm not sure what the Sox should do with him.
  14. Interesting. For most of the season, Price and E-Rod were neck-in-neck in terms of pitching performances, and then all of a sudden Price became The Man. Sale and Price should be unbeatable in October.
  15. I'm a bit worried that Sale needs to build up more innings before the playoffs begin.
  16. Beat me to it. I'm most concerned with Cleveland in the playoffs.
  17. The Yankees look cooked. I don’t think the As will have much problem ending their season.
  18. I don't think I've ever heard of him before yesterday. I'm still in shock that some guy I've never heard of comes up and saves the day.
  19. I'm not usually the one to do this, but before today, his last few outings had been very solid. No one wanted to hang Velazquez after his last start but he was awful. Today he was pretty good.
  20. I was going to go to the break room at work and watch the game, but now I think I'll pass. We're going to get shutout.
  21. I'm big on Workman myself. No clue why he keeps getting sent down.
  22. I met a woman named Jaleen last night. So you all tell me, is Jaleen a man's name or a woman's name? I still can't believe we traded him to Tampa Bay and then he beats us.
