One of the things I posted at the beginning of the year was that it is difficult to rely on 2 or more rookies (or near rookies) in key positions all season. Your young guys played well most of the season, but that's always a risky thing.

IMO, re-signing Eovaldi would take precedence over re-signing Kimbrel. But you're right, his stock has risen. I think he will be priced out of what the Sox would like to give him.

This is what I was talking about earlier when I said that the umpires have no accountability. It doesn't matter if MLB or the Umpire's Union is tracking missed calls. Nothing is done about it. The bad umpires are still umpiring, even in the postseason. Angel has seniority. He will umpire in the postseason for as long as he wants to.

LOL Tyler. It's nerve wracking, I'm not gonna lie. It would be nice if our offense could open this up early. A 10-0 lead by the 5th inning would be nice.

It's close enough to an elimination game that, IMO, it's all hands on deck. If you have a chance to win today's game, you go for it. Sale can pitch Game 4 on short rest, if needed.

That was the original plan. Cora changed it, probably because Porcello pitched out of the pen on Friday, in addition to throwing his normal bullpen session.

A 5 run lead early is not insurmountable.

As you said, it's all hands on deck. If we need to use Porcello to try to save a win, then we use Porcello. We worry about Game 4 when we get there.
