I never said that HFA doesn't exist. There is an advantage, but the advantage is so slight that making sure your players are rested and healthy is more important than going all out to win home field advantage.

I am a fan of WAR, but I have never said that WAR was the be all end all. I have always preferred Fangraphs WAR, but I would look at both, along with several other stats. A very valid argument can be made for Trout winning the MVP. A valid argument can also be made for JD, IMO.

I think it's wishful thinking on your part Jacko. I think he'll get it figured out by then. Our rotation will be fine. You need to worry about your own rotation. Then again, you might not make it far enough to even have that worry.

Yes, but even with Devers' better range, his UZR/150 is -4.6 as compared to Nunez at 7.1. Devers' better range does not make up for his errors.

To me, it seems that Devers tends to get overly anxious in big moments, not that I'm calling for him to be benched. I'm okay with Devers starting against a right hander and being replaced for defensive purposes late in the game.

Well, I think your post points to part of the problem with MVP voting. There are no set criteria for what makes a player valuable. IMO, the entire award is very subjective, not just the intangibles.
