    Man, I really hope we get this right. Not just for us, but for a guy who must have thought he had a great career ahead of him at the start of last year.

    What is up with that! I saw Cora say last year that they were working on getting him to pull more. Weird how he's still not able to do it.

    Those benefits are far outweighed by the benefit of actually spending time working on the pitches he still needs to develop to become the top line starter we hope. He has a lot of development left to do. We can get pen help from numerous places if need be. Disrupting the schedule of our best prospect is not one of them. Thankfully, the FO see it the same way.

    Yes really. He's got a tonne of stuff he needs to work on to still become what we need him to be. Let him work on those things.

    Absolutely not. You don't f*** around with your best starting pitching prospect so you can get some help in the pen.

    I've all but given up on KC. I really hope he finds it again and turns it around, but I'm just not seeing it.

    Agreed. I'm interested in seeing how the advancement to hitting 2nd works out. So far so good.

    There is nothing good about these ideas. Cheng is a nothing player who's having a good couple of weeks. Tolle is our next big starting pitching prospect that has a lot of work to do on secondaries. You don't put him in the pen.

    Yes let's just chuck everyone away that has a rough few weeks. Let's get rid of Anthony and Mayer, too. Who needs 'em! 🙅‍♂️

    They are not going to give up on Durbin already. Nor should they. The acceptable sample size for judging players is decreasing by the day.

    I imagine that's the same for most players. And Bres absolutely should be valuing him higher than Paredes.

    Going off all the reports, I'm pretty sure this is exactly what happened. The Astros could see how good the fit was for us and expected Bres to buckle and hand over Duran in an uneven trade. Instead Bres pivoted to Durbin and kept him.

    I might be misremembering but last year it felt like we didn't take advantage of poor teams early on. It would be great if we don't repeat that this year.

    Same. Quite happy with IFK as a back up. In an ideal world Durbin would be our super utility guy, but I'm also confident he'll be very decent for us as a starter.

    Yup. Things will settle and we have a hard start including the next month. If we continue to right the ship we'll be in good shape.

    That the Tigers and Mariners have that record shows there's no point getting over excited this early into a season.

    McAdams and Cotillo are hacks unless you need them to back up a point. Carrabis isn't a journalist and his scoop shop is ******** unless you need him. Now Mcaffrey can't be trusted. Laughable. To say Duran wasn't wanted by anyone is ridiculous. No matter how many tiresome strawmen you throw at the conversation. 😴

    Duran was the framing (not Abreu). But otherwise I agree 100%. I think mostly everyone does outside of the Astros FO trying it on.

    This is my main concern with the team. I said around the time of Bregy's signing - I don't like the contract he is going to get, but at this point we have to swallow it. We could really do with his presence in the clubhouse right now, and in the next year or two.

    Trying to talk down the word of a respected journalist and wriggle out on a technicality is quite the low. I think it's safe to assume her, along with everyone else that said similar have better sources on this information than you. s*** like this is so tiresome. Just admit you made stupid and incorrect comments. Jesus. 🤡
