  1. Yes but they were “ very interested” in the top tier players. That has to count for something doesn’t it? 🙄
  2. I think there’s about a 40% chance they sign Bregman. They’ll lowball him too followed by the inevitable excuses. Then they’ll sign some lower level guys and expect the fans to swallow stool again. Enough! I haven’t been to a game in years either as I live 3000 miles away-but I certainly hope those who have been supporting the cheapskate by showing up at the park will boycott it.
  3. I am not even sure they will even sign Bregman. And even if they do it’s just marching in place without improving the offense at all. Henry has to sell the team. Fans have to boycott the park until management gets serious about presenting a team that can compete for a ring. It’s the only way.
  4. Apparently the Flops offer was unsurprisingly a low ball offer. We aren’t getting anyone of significance. I can hardly wait to hear the excuses:
  5. Bregman basically screwed himself by batting.231 over the last two months. He’s not going to get what he wants. At the end of last year the Flops couldn’t score runs. Now it’s pretty clear Henry is too cheap to fix that problem with some quality bats. The Flops have become a second class franchise.
  6. Well Alonso is no longer available. He just signed with the Orioles. Let’s face it: Henry is too cheap to get anyone of significance. My guess is that they’ll resign Bregman and call it a day. What a disgusting franchise the Flops have become.
  7. From Aug1 to the end of Sept he hit .239/.691 over 220 PAs. Thats not a small sample size. Add that to his injury history and his age and he’ll be very lucky to get 3-4@$25m or 30m a year. I suspect he’ll get even less.
  8. Bregman isn’t going to get what he wants. His slump at the end of last season screwed that possibility.
  9. Pipe dream. Burns is going nowhere.
  10. Like last year (2024)? Or "Full throttle".....turned out to be a joke, just like the year before. Two years in a row of equivocating at the TD. Breslow wasted a chance for a deep playoff run in 2025 and publicly stated that he "wished he could have done more". I suspect we will get the same language this year.
  11. I admit last year was an improvement. This upcoming year I expect MORE. But we are not going to get MORE if the best we can do is Gray and maybe Bregman. Its possible that they aren't done adding but I would be very surprised if they added real quality like Alonso or a real #2 SP.
  12. Nice fit for the Sox...except that Henry is too cheap to sign him or anyone else of significance. Gray? LOLOLOL
  13. Last four seasons: 3rd, 3rd, LAST, LAST. What does that do to a person?
  14. Schwarber is off the table. Just signed with the Phillies. Soon Alonso will be off the table too. Henry is too cheap to get a premier bat or a premier #2. We are basically going with who we have and maybe Bregman. Welcome persistent mediocrity.
  15. I think you’re wrong. The past two TDs Breslow equivocated, getting neither the help the team needed to be a serious competitor for a deep playoff run nor a seller to plan to contend in future years. He hasn’t been awful, but he hasn’t really done a good job either.
  16. Who is claiming that the next acquisition has to be the #2 or the bat they need? As long as Breslow accomplishes his task and doesn’t try to pass off a dandelion as a rose I think we will all be happy. Unfortunately that’s what he’s done in the past.
  17. Yup pretty stupid move
  18. A #4 SP. Still need another very good pitcher. Not a bad move . Career ERA+ of 101.
  19. Think he’ll spend much of it to improve the team? I’m sure his family has trouble enough just putting food on the table, right?
  20. Marte would be a great addition. Too expensive? What about all that money Henry saved by trading Devers?
  21. I would be shocked if we got Marte OR Alonso OR Schwarber. I think the most likely scenario is that Bregman is resigned and they call it a day.
  22. I’d sign him. He’d be our second best SP. it always comes down to health. This is our window. Time to go for it.
  23. Both have better numbers than Cease. Both are better suited to be a #2 regardless of how much they will get paid-which is conjecture at this point. And both are better fits for the Red Sox, statistically speaking.
  24. He’s still not what we needed. He’s a 3. I think I’ve said my piece on Gray. Now we’ll have to wait and see how Breslow conducts himself for the rest of the winter. Hopefully we will all be pleasantly surprised, though I’d put money down that only further half assed moves are awaiting.
