  1. Nope It’s over because Henry won’t spend the money for any top talent, just like the last several years when the opportunity to make the team real contenders presented itself. But hey-the Henry’s gotta eat, don’t they? Crap franchise. Crap owner.
  2. Pay wall Did we sign King while I wasn’t looking?
  3. You misunderstand me. The two guys we didn’t sign are just a SYMPTOM of Henry being a cheapskate. It’s why we won’t be getting any top notch players. Again.
  4. I like pitching too. So glad we got Sonny Gray as our #4. Where’s our #2? Last year we were below league average for HRs. And at the end of the year we struggled to score. While it’s nice to have well rounded players it’s even nicer to get guys who can hit it out of the park. I’d be shocked if we signed anyone but mediocre players like Sonny Gray.
  5. In other words you are not happy with the progress in improving the team either, at least so far. Not many are. Given the way Henry operates I am not expecting more than a bunch of sorry excuses from here on out, just like last year and the year before. The TD excuses were truly rich.
  6. We missed out on the two premier sluggers available on the FA market because our owner is too cheap to sign them. Its crystal clear that we needed a player or two of Schwarber or Alonso's caliber. Who is left out there of similar caliber for us to sign? If we have to make a trade for a player like that we surrender some of our guys. We also needed a solid #2 SP and we got.........Gray, a #4 at best. Squeaking into the playoffs followed by a rapid exit might be OK for some, but its not OK for me, not year after year, especially after the abyssmal results over most of the last five years.
  7. There's no yardstick for level of "entitlement", so claiming, as Brady does, that Flops fans are more entitled than Yankee fans is just a way of accepting mediocrity. Boston is a big market franchise. Its about time they started to behave like one.
  8. The point you obviously missed is that the Yankmees were better than us last year and they are getting their ace back. He was gone all year. We missed some guys for part of the year but no one as consequential as an ace SP. That team is going to be better just by getting Cole back out there every five days. I can't say the same thing about us getting Casas back, if he even returns. Are you happy with the "improvements" the Flops have made to the team this offseason? I mean getting Sonny Gray will certainly put us in contention for a ring now, right?
  9. Are you happy with the "improvements" so far with this team? I know the Boston sports writers aren't.
  10. They certainly did better than the flops. They tied for first place and only missed out on tiebreakers on first place. And getting Cole back is the same as getting Casas back in your mind? You are trying to tell me that Yankmee fans don’t want to win as much as we do? Laughable. The Yankmees are starting from a better position than we are. They have over the past several years done better than us because of poor management on our part-and Henry’s cheapskate ways.
  11. That’s exactly what I am telling him
  12. I doubt Flops fans feel any more entitled than Yankee fans. While the Yankees haven’t signed anyone they are getting their ace back. They won the division without him last year. Now how did the Flops improve again? Gray?
  13. That was last year. What have they done THIS year? Sonny Gray? LOLOLOL
  14. Sorry. But he DOES need to sell the team. When you stop caring about being competitive it’s time to GET OUT. And it’s clear that Henry no longer prioritizes winning.
  15. They are ALREADY blowing it. Sure, we squeaked into the playoffs last year and were quickly eliminated. But look at the previous several years. Pretty abysmal for a big market team. This year we got Sonny Gray! Whooppee!!
  16. Its not going to happen, not as long as Henry the Cheap owns the team. I can hardly wait to hear all the excuses again this year. Bregman is going to end up in Detroit IMO. I won't miss him. We needed an upgrade anyway. Looking more and more like a pathetic version of the Rays.
  17. Yes! But at least the Henry family can eat again!
  18. I knew who they were. History tends to repeat itself sometimes and we can definitely learn from it. Henry has told Breslow to keep the spending down and like a good soldier that’s exactly what he is doing. It’s become an embarrassing franchise, the laughingstock of the league. Henry needs to sell the team.
  19. Sure. If he was willing to take a huge discount for playing for the Flops. Again this year Henry is playing the cheapskate role. We aren't getting anyone of significance and we are wasting our window. We have our ace and we have a budding superstar in Anthony. But they need supporting players. And its clear that isn't going to happen......but just wait til next year, right? Again.
  20. Henry the Cheapskate is certainly off to a great start, as usual, isn't he?
  21. Fair enough. Heres another tidbit worthy of a good belly laugh: Rosenfeld claims the Flops are “in on” Freddy Peralta. We aren’t getting Freddy Preslta or anyone like him. Besides, who needs Peralta when we have Grsy! LOLOLOLOL
  22. He’s missed out on the top two FA hitters already. He might spend to just over the first threshold-or not. Regardless we won’t be better than last year, maybe making the playoffs with another early exit. This was a good year to go “full throttle”. But Henry decided to pocket the money he saved by getting rid of Devers instead of improving the team. Disgusting franchise.
  23. We aren't getting anything but mediocre players like Gray. Henry is too cheap to fork over the money for top players. He is unsuccessfully trying to turn the Flops into the Rays. The fans deserve better: "“Following Kyle Schwarber’s return to the Phillies on Tuesday, Alonso’s deal meant that both of the best power bats available via free agency landed with other clubs — and in the case of Alonso, in the AL East,” Healey wrote. “The Red Sox’ offer to Alonso was for fewer years and significantly less money, sources said.”"
  24. I expected them to behave the same way they have historically. CHEAP. I remember what they did with Lester. They made a totally insulting offer and he split. Henry is trying to to run the Flops like the Rays. Screw him.
  25. Of course Bregman alone doesn’t do it! We needed to get BETTER, not march in place. I told you guys we weren’t signing anyone significant. We won’t get Bichette or any of the top Japanese players either. This is the team! Watch and weep!
