    He pitches batting practice tomorrow night for the $pankees. Dice-K don't let the door hit you on the way out. Watching him pitch over the last few seasons is like going to the dentist.

    The weather is going to be sh_ty for tonights game. Both Pedrioa and Ellsbury are in the lineup, but because of the weather its possible they don't play in what is a meaningless game long term. Last night was a joke. Buchholtz needs to show up. I'm a little down on him after last nights no show.

    At least these last three games will be meaningful. It would be nice if the Sox could make sur the $panks only get one of the wild cards. It would make the winter a little more enjoyable.

    I think many wouldn't mind having Kelly, Rizzo and Reddick back in the mix of youth for 2013. That is three just from last year, and I know it was along time ago (1990) but Jeff Bagwell is probably the prospect dealt that had the greatest career.

    Ryne Sandberg would be an interesting candidate. HOF baseball career, managing in minors since 2007. The last two with the Phillies AAA team, and was named Baseball America's 2011 Manager of the Year.

    The baseball season ends when the $pankees are eliminated! Hopefully, that will be in the one game wild card playoff game next week. Go Toronto!

    Baltimore 91 67 - $pankees 91 67 (Lead is gone!) They can't spend their way out of this one.

    Hopefully, that carries over to next year. It is one of the few bright spots in a sh_ty season.

    Its hard for a lot people to see the Sox like this. Plus the only way we hurt the $pankees is if we lose. For me its just easier not watching. I sure next week it will feel like the playoffs. It will be our playoffs as we have a chance to be spoilers to the $panks. O's are in a first place with four to go.

    Toronto wins Saturday day game 3-2. $pankee lead down to 1/2 of a game. Go who ever is playing the $pankees!

    There is no guarentee that the Sox will be able to keep Ellsbury. If he ask for more then the Sox think he is worth then Bradley becomes an option in CF. Unless a King Felix or another top of the line pitcher is the target I believe the youth has to stay here. How many times have we traded away youth for the quick fix and have been disappointed.

    Why wouldn't it be a positive having these two (If that is the case) in spring training working with a broken pitching staff. When the Sox had a pitching staff that wasn't the problem these two were a big part of it. If the pitching was the major problem with the 2012 version of the Sox then I can't see why this wouldn't be a good step in the right direction.

    D Wright doesn't make sence for Sox who have cleared 3B for Middlebrooks. The Mets would ask for top players in our system. A two for one deal. He is not worth it. Besides I think the Mets will build around him. Sox will target 1B and OF who have some power. With an off season that looks to be really busy can't wait for the hot stove to start.

    How did Addressing the Starting Pitching thread turn into looking at spare parts in the outfield? If a thread is started it is easier to find and to respond to if you stick to its theme. Its not like we are $pankee fans whose IQ's don't allow them to follow such concepts. It just makes life a little easier for the working man who has had to deal with this sh_ty season. How many days till pitchers and catchers?

    Kalish played hurt the whole year, it wasn't a no show. If healthy (which is a big if), he gets a shot in the spring but with only a play great make the team deal. If healthy I saw him as a Trot Nixon kind of a player.

    BV is done. Fair or not the era will end after one season. The club house has gotten worst and he has lost many who reside there. Now grant it some of those individuals will also be leaving with him.

    No! We need to let this Farrell thing go. If the Sox give up anything of value to get him the FO will piss off any of the nation who aren't already mad at them for this hell of a mess they created called the 2012 Sox.

    Now that the O's have return to major league baseball there are no more easy division games any more. That is 76 games that will be tough.

    Jeter (homegrown) wouldn't have gotten that ball the other night that Iggy got because he would be DHing.

    Tell me Reddick wouldn't look good in right for the Sox. He shown he has some power (Oakland is not a hitters park), plays strong D, and is one of those gamers like Peddy. Ross has had a pretty good season, but his numbers are below Reddick's and his D is suspect.

    If you bring someone from outside the organization it has to be someone that is respected around baseball. Because it is someone the players need to respect from day 1. This person can't the headline every night. If the manager is the headline every night then he is either saying something stupid or is managing is stupid. Before I make a pick I think there are some current managers that might be candidates.

    The chances of that being the lineup is zero!!!!!!!! Salty is not playing 1B. That is like me saying the $panks let Grandy walk and Andrew Jones is next years CF. Has Salty even played first before? He doesn't even know what a first base glove looks like. Papi is resigned, and one or possible two new outfielders on either side of Ellsbury. The 1B is not even on the current roster. Go Toronto tonight!

    I don't think anyone would choice to be a Sox fan and go though all the sh__ we've gone through. Just look at recent history: '75, '78, '86, the short playoff runs of the '90s, and '03. I think unfortunely its something you are born with. Why else would an individual go through the crap we seem to have to deal with?

    BV was forced on BC and a lot of what was done this year came from above BC. If he is their GM then they have to let him rebuild this thing without blocking every move. BV is done and the Sox will have a new manager by the first week of November. The comments that came out of BC's mouth means to me that he has already started the search.
