    I respect the way the Rays and A's do business and create their teams. The year the $pankees win a title without having the highest payroll in the AL is the day I will put the name to rest. Any other team that made the mistakes they have made putting their team together over the last few years would have years like the Sox had in 2012. Their blank check policy ensures that they can fix any problem and make the playoffs every year. I think they have not been able to buy their way to the playoffs twice in the last twenty years. You think if Roberts gets hurt or Johnson flops at 3B that they won't reach for the check book again.

    Roberts will probably pull something putting on his uniform day one of spring training. I think Jeter starts collecting social security this year. No team with a SS his age has won a championship. I think a lot of people are going to be surprised at JBJ production.

    JBJ and WMB both start on opening day and if they are total busts then the Sox will use their many resources to fix the problems. Sizemore is a nice low risk pickup, but he will not be able to play starter innings. If by some miracle he returns to his old self then it will be another of BC great pickups.

    I think Drew turned down the Sox best offer (14 mil). Bogaerts and WMB start the season at SS and 3B for the Sox.

    Love to see ARod show up at spring training just to be a side show. This will probably be another problem the $panks pay to go away.

    $panks top two starters are on the back side of their careers. CC has a lot of miles on his arm and he has lost mph off his fast ball. He may still be a decent pitcher, but I do not think he is an ace any more. Kuroda is 39! He will run out of gas during the dog days like he did in 2013. Nova has been decent, and Tanaka probably will be an upgrade. I see a lot of question marks.

    $pankees and budget, what a joke! This is why I hate them, and they can't loss enough as far as I'm concern. They can make one bad roster decision after another and they just buy their way out of those. They will pay ARod a %&it load of $$$$$$$ to go away and that is their way of dealing with a bad signing. I knew all along that the 189 million budget was a bunch of crap. A Sox championship means that the $pankees throw a ton of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ at any FA that is breathing during the following winter. We can only hope that they paid ace money for Irabu 2.0!

    $panks will probably pay ARod off to stay away in 2015. I think we have seen the last of ARod. It will be just like Bonds. No team is going to want to deal with all of this crap.

    What ever team does sign Tanaka doesn't know for sure what 22-0 in Japan translates to The Show. It is probably somewhere between Darvish and Dice-K. I haven't heard anyone say he was an ace, but the money being talked about is ace money.

    I think Sox go to spring training with Bogaerts and WMB at SS and 3B. If things don't work out early in the season they have money to spend and talent in the minors to trade to fix the holes.

    This is why I hate the $pankees! They just throw $$$$$$ at their problems. Wouldn't it be great if he told them they can keep their money and sign somewhere else.

    The gift of ARods one year suspension couldn't come at a better time for the $pankees. They would have to be the leaders to get Tanaka. It would be sweat if they didn't get him.

    Wouldn't it be funny if the Sox sneak in and get Tanaka from the $panks. They could also be just trying to raise the cost of signing Tanaka.

    I would like to see ARod win his arbitration case and get it reduced to 50 games. That would mess up the $pankees plans because they already have plans to spend that money.

    I will pledge not to say that again if the $panks stay with their 189 million pledge. A budget is only a budget if you stick to it.

    Drew could have taken the CO and get a $5 million raise and return to the World Champions. The Drew camp is not the only FA that the draft compensation is effecting.

    I think Bradley will be great with the glove in CF and if the Sox bat him 9th I think he will be okay. I don't expect to be great with the bat, but I really think he is going to be okay.
