  1. I agree. Pass!
  2. Sox counting on him to have a big season as they try to make up for the lost Papi production. He is hitting the ball this spring and should be in the running for rookie of the year. He has a sweat swing.
  3. I think its Panda's job to lose. As long as he is healthy he starts for Sox at the corner on opening day.
  4. Clutch is the guys who put up huge numbers in October when everything is big. How many big October hits did Papi have? Missing him already!
  5. It might have been Price if his elbow issue had been worse, but replacing Big Papi's production is a concern I have. Year after year you pencil in 30+ HRs and 100+ RBIs. I just don't see where the Sox replace those numbers.
  6. Still early, but if Craig did find his swing it gives the Sox some options. I think he has a better chance of making back to the Show then Castillo does.
  7. Kendrick gives the Sox options to start the season. Don't have to rush Price.
  8. I agree, but if major injuries occur then it becomes an issue. I'm concerned with the pitchers who may go all out pitching for their country before they are ready. Glad no Sox pitchers are participating.
  9. I guess its a surprise when non-pitchers have TJ surgery.
  10. Price has throw a lot of innings the last few seasons so maybe it wouldn't be so bad not to rush him back and have him start the season later.
  11. Doesn't the teams record have any impact on MVP voting. If a player is so valuable should his team have a better record?
  12. He needs to show that he can hit otherwise he is a backup catcher moving forward.
  13. Porcello earned this one. Hopefully, his performance carries over to 2017. Sox need the consistent starter at the top of the rotation.
  14. Looks tired and his swing is showing that with contact being an issue. Hopefully, the last couple of games means he is breaking out of the slump. With him you still get the great D.
  15. Moncada did play some 3B in Cuba. With extended roosters the Sox can replace him in the late innings. I think they don't put him there if they think he wasn't ready. He athletic and has a good arm.
  16. It was good to see Benintendi running yesterday. He is young and at that age quicker to heel from a sprain. Hopefully, we see him again in 2016.
  17. Pitch running Wright still doesn't sit well with me. If it is the reason the Sox fall short of making the playoffs it could cost Farrell his job. Wright still isn't right and he had been so consistent the whole season.
  18. Moncada starts tonight. Hopefully, he gives the Sox a boost that Benintendi did. Its nice to see the kids produce and are part of the playoff chase. So let the Moncada era begin.
  19. The problem is the Sox don't make playoffs if they don't keep better results from the pen.
  20. Leon is an example when things seem to finally click. At least for 2016 Leon is a threat at the plate. You look at the past and he was a no-hit backup. So there is still hope for Vazquez. At worst he is a solid backup.
  21. Here is a scary thought for the post Papi years. FO says they need a big comeback by Sandoval in 2017.
  22. Also, Pedey has done it with the glove as well.
  23. These two look lost though. Tazawa might be out of gas, and Abad looks like a deer in headlights on the mound. How stressful where his days in Minnesota. Hopefully, he gets it straightened out because the Sox don't make the playoffs without help from the pen.
  24. Hopefully, last night gets him out of his slump he has been in the last few weeks.
  25. Swihart as a catcher is what made him special. He doesn't have the same appeal as an outfielder. He starts 2017 in AAA and if that is the case then he holds the most value to the Sox as a catcher.
