  1. already - I can't keep track of what the hell they are doing. Barnes up - Barnes down - Wright up - Wright down - JBJ up ??? Better pitchers are pitching for Pawtucket and Brent deserves a shot. I have no clue as to the significance of any of their moves to date. That would include Farrell's decision to leave the last of the goddam Mohicans in there just long enough to piss another game away.
  2. Oh lets just just leave him in for the rest of the night. Need to save Wright for tomorrow Message clear = game freaking over.
  3. hope that wasn't too long for Buck to sit. he is very anxious.
  4. Come on Fred - that's the swing you want to see - inside out opposite field
  5. JBJ today - Swihart is not far behind. A month maybe 2 but he is on his way.
  6. It is very early but Owens has looked very ordinary so far. Middle of rotation guy at best which is probably about what they expect from him. Johnson and Rodriguez have both looked very very good. Rodriguez is the youngest of the bunch but he throws hard. Barnes going back tends to make you think that they still want him to start which I like. For you Steven Wright fans, take heart he is back up with the big club. He will certainly come in handy if they get blasted again.
  7. Good win for the P-Sox. JBJ and Swihart continue to hit and B. Johnson continues to pitch well and I still like Tommy Layne. My guess is that Johnson will be up soon. He deserves a good look.
  8. Remember - never too high, never too low. Study hard - get a good education and do some other things (if you aren't already) other than being active on this web-site.
  9. Also, as passionate as the fans on this board are, there really are things that matter a great deal more than the fate of this team. Not playing Dr. Phil again just stating the obvious I hope.
  10. Be the good son. I'm sure your father appreciates your being there for him. I miss my parents everyday.
  11. Was Papi hanging on the top rail watching this one in the 9th or was he having a few wings down below? Hope he got plenty of rest.
  12. You'd think that 7 runs might be noticeable but no way today.
  13. Got a lot done around the house today thanks to the Sox. Walked the dog, washed the car etc. , etc. , etc.
  14. If that were the case, I think that I would agree with you. With Holt, I do not think that is the case. By critical position in this case i think that you are talking about center and short. I don't think that he is league's below the guys playing those positions. That being said, it would take me a long time to feel any need to take Betts out the lineup. A day off now and then - yes.
  15. Kind of makes sense I would say. Ride that little horse while he is hot. He plays his role extremely well and we are very fortunate to have him. I also think that some of the so called "everyday" players respond better with a little rest as well. Often times when he sort of fills in, he is giving us more than what we were getting. I don't see him being over shadowed from a talent perspective by many of the players ahead of him. As long as he is happy in his role, this team has a real gem. There should be plenty of game time and plenty of at bats to go around.
  16. Watched the C's play for the first time in years last night. They play hard. Not far away from being very good. All of you Rajon Rondo fans - sorry- his act was tiresome.
  17. Had a hunch you were kidding. So was I sort of. I will say though that I have not seen anything quite like Yaz in 67.
  18. batting or golfing?
  19. hey Kimmi I agree. He sure is no 1967 Yaz but maybe he just doesn't feel the sense of urgency in April that he has felt in October.
  20. Castillo??? Has he started any rehab yet? Don't think he is seeing much game time these days. Brentz or JBJ maybe.
  21. 8-3 loss. Both Brentz and JBJ a couple of hits apiece. Steven Wright - not so much.
