  1. I'm ok with my H = hedoesn'tgiveaf***whatyouandithink
  2. g = hdgafwyait!!!
  3. I'm with you all the way here Jack. Dombrowski has a job that is always open to criticism in this day and age regardless of what he says or does. As is pretty obvious from reading these various threads, he isn't going to be making everybody happy anytime soon. I truly believe that if we win a ring next year there will be people who will find a way to criticize something that he either did or did not do in their estimation. Hey - Ben Cherington ain't walking through that door again anytime soon folks. wink wink(just trying to add some humor - not trying to mess with the hornets nest)
  4. ain't that the truth!
  5. Most of us get this but making a move just to make a move would not be a good idea at all. If the Red Sox returned the exact same team as last year, possibly a little healthier, they would still be able to complete quite nicely in the east. Adding the right bat makes sense and I think that it will happen.
  6. That is a compliment and I am taking it. When you are as cranky and irascible as I can be, you got to run with them when you can.lol
  7. I'm kind of on board with this one too. I'm in for Martinez but I know that there are some other pretty good possibilities out there as well. I don't think resigning Moreland and taking a shot with Sam Travis is going to upgrade our offense much but they still aren't bad! I hope that we don't make a move just to make a move. I don't think we will. I do have a warm spot for Moreland.
  8. He might even have known exactly what he was saying. Maybe it was just his way of saying that it really wasn't important enough for us to know. It is possible that his hide is tough enough to actually not care what the public thinks. If the seats are filled, he is going to get paid. I don't think that he is as soft and caring as some people would like him to be. Maybe he should start wearing and old hooded sweatshirt. Kind of like that old school dude working up there in Foxboro. That guy who has trouble understanding how to operate an I-pad but just knows how to win games. Like him or not!
  9. We could do that. If you can clone your dog, anything should be possible. What's a GMP? General Medical Practitioner or something. I'm one of those old school guys who is stupid. I'm thinking though you might be on to something for futuristic fans with the cloning concept.
  10. Maybe we could even become more fan friendly. Kind of like the Voice. Fans could vote from their cell phones for who they think could be starting on a day to day basis. Come on it is 2017, anything and everything goes right. We all need to have a greater say in what is going on here. We are in the golden age of internet information and ain't it just freaking great! Come on Slasher - no withholding any information. What do you know that we don't? Who is it posting here that works in the organization? You know we will find out.
  11. I think that you nailed it. What I would add is that he probably doesn't give a crap about what people in the media know or don't know about what his plans are or maybe even what his team's plans are. I don't consider myself to be entitled to know what is going on the inside. I don't work for them. We are all curious but where does it say anywhere that he has to let every fan and every beat writer know every detail about what is and what isn't going on inside that clubhouse? Some people just have a need to know I guess. It is one of the reasons why I am a Belicek fan. DDs no liar - DDs not desperate. He gets it. He is doing his job and might not feel as though I'm entitled quite enough to be told every plan and every detail about his future plans. For the record, I might be on an island here too but why did I even care about who was going to be having any kind of surgery during the off season? It is fun to know but sometimes it just doesn't affect us.
  12. I agree - and also you have always been pretty easy for me to understand. Very clear - very direct. I like that. As luck would have, in most cases I agree with you too. lol
  13. so - anyone who is old school is dumb and risk averse? really.
  14. I think that you are safe. People getting a little uptight due to the lack of moves made. That is interesting. what I would say is when was the last move that DD telegraphed out to anybody? He doesn't seem to work that way. My bet is that something big will come our way. I sill think that it will be Martinez which very well might then lead to a trade of one of our outfielders. Maybe he winds up being the dh or maybe he doesn't. Personally, Martinez is on my wish list.
  15. really ? - thanks Bell - kind of what I think about all or the cliff talk as well as the constantly competing GM's banter daily seen. Ready for some action.
  16. I don't think that Slasher hates him. There a few people here who comment as though they have a great dislike for the man but it kind of seems like that dislike results from him not agreeing with them when it comes to running a ml team. Now I do expect what is coming - we don't hate him - actually we liked some of his moves but felt that he gave up way too much - he has single handedly destroyed our one time bountiful minor league system.
  17. times really are tough for some of these guys lol
  18. I wonder if he was thinking that he should get a raise.
  19. Kimbrel was one of the really good stories in baseball last year. He is still with us. Don't think that I would knowingly weaken one area of strength that we have. I agree with some that the whole concept of relief specialists is overblown but I don't think that messing with an area of strength for something unknown makes much sense.
  20. I think that they were just all pooped out Bell. They just needed more rest.
  21. You are right - I do.
  22. I guess you could say I'm pretty much right with you here. I love the fact that we finally won a World Series or three but baseball and its' season has always meant so much more to me. the season is long and I far prefer cheering for a team that has a competitive chance to make the playoffs year in and year out. The playoffs represent and entirely new season to me. I enjoy the slow trudge of the regular season more than I do this new thing we call the second season.
  23. You seem pretty serious about all this stuff Moon. I'm starting to feel sorry for you and whoever you mean when you use the word "we". I'm pretty sure that I shouldn't even be involved in this discussion because it really isn't that big a deal to me.
