It's a non-issue. Manfred's report specifically stated that the Red Sox use of the video room for sign stealing only happened in the regular season. MLB actually had hall monitors in the video rooms during that postseason.

The 'narrative', as some like to call it, is that DD went overboard - traded too many prospects in total, cleaned out the cupboard altogether. (And I'm not saying I agree.)

Yes, a Benintendi-Renfroe platoon should be just fine. And as you say there are bigger fish to fry.

oldtimer, in 2019, his last full season, Benintendi had a .774 OPS, and a 100 OPS+, meaning he was exactly average. Do you really think it's going to be an easy matter to replace him with a player who is guaranteed to be better than that? And what if you trade him, getting back little, and he returns to his 2018 form? You're really not thinking through the negative possibilities here, you're just assuming the positive ones.

I don't know, I kind of liked Dalbec's .359 OBP in his first sample. He K's a lot but he'll take a walk, too. That can be a big difference-maker.

A few pitchers can hit a little. Bumgarner has 19 HR and 62 RBI in 679 career PA's.
