  1. Us pro cherry-pickers settle for nothing less than the optimum selection.
  2. Franchy has only struck out once in his last 10 PA's. That's the only faint glimmer of hope I can see in his game logs.
  3. I think you're hearing things. Either that or it was a Yankee fan.
  4. True, but I think over the years the Red Sox have often struggled on the road against Texas.
  5. It's actually even better over his last 8 games.
  6. Plus they don't play today. Tyler, are you going Mr. Magoo on us?
  7. Good question that I can't answer. He hasn't pitched since April 24.
  8. That trade could hurt us this year, no question. Of course we have to keep in mind that Bloom got 2 other players in the deal, Winckowski and a PTBNL from the Mets yet to be determined. Cordero might be seen as a throw-in. At the moment he's a throw-in who isn't very good, that's for sure.
  9. Beni has really turned it around the last 8 games. Good for him.
  10. They probably do. But sports probably need to have different rules because of their unique characteristics. It's up the Players Union to defend the rights of their members.
  11. Meanwhile Mike Trout is hitting better than ever. His OPS+ is 271.
  12. Holy crap. We are seeing some unprecedented bad numbers for hitters this year. No wonder Manfred is flipping out a bit.
  13. Certainly not. My only disagreement was with the statement that the minimum wage for a professional player is $525 K.
  14. JBJ has 30 strikeouts and 2 walks. Yikes.
  15. I don't disagree with any of that. As you say, it's a free choice.
  16. I listened to some of last night's game on the radio. Thanks for that piece of advice. You're going to be a good accountant!
  17. That's the MLB minimum wage. Minor leaguers are professionals too.
  18. So 22 K's for Chapman in his first 9 innings of the season. I'm guessing that might be a record.
  19. Even sor-girls were getting pretty bad with the hazing stuff.
  20. Chapman has 20 K's in 8 innings. And his FIP is, get this: -0.80. Yes, that's a minus sign.
  21. Jeez Nick. Let me see if I've got this straight. You're still pretty pissed that a Rule 5 rookie coming off Tommy John surgery didn't get his first high leverage outing until all the way to April 23.
  22. He better not get an arm strain from that LOL
  23. Confusing post. There are 5 teams in the AL East, and as iortiz says, in 2018 3 of them won 90 and 2 of those won 100.
  24. The first month of Mookie's 12 year extension was very meh by his standards. He didn't play again last night, and has only started 19 of the team's 27 games. Let's see how May goes.
