  1. I think the only part Henry would be greatly interested in is whether moves put us over the tax threshold.
  2. That would be better than the Sox losing their next 5.
  3. Slash 299/373/519 OPS 891
  4. In spite of all that the Red Sox have never had a low payroll under Henry. He knows that's part of the deal. He's a pretty smart dude.
  5. This new mock draft has Leiter and Rocker dropping to 5 and 6. So the Red Sox could have a shot at either of these guys and still pass? Interesting.
  6. Looks like Dalbec Fever is back on. And I'll say it again, Cora has done a great job handling his struggles.
  7. Steals are overrated. Ability to take the extra base, and making consistently good decisions are probably more important.
  8. The one thing I wondered about Mookie was whether his conventional offensive numbers would hold up, especially moving to a less friendly park. The jury is out on that.
  9. His norm is an .891 OPS with elite defense and base running.
  10. Ted said we were a 72-90 team. I much prefer your takes.
  11. Pitching covers up a lot of sins.
  12. This thread may be around for 12 years.
  13. OPS .824 OPS+ 131 bWAR 1.5 He's a little below expectations, but not severely so.
  14. But if he's right about Rocker dropping there must be a reason.
  15. Correct. I'll include all games post no-no.
  16. I'm going to compile the stats on guys who have thrown no-hitters this year, post no-no.
  17. That start by Lee isn't necessarily a kiss of death, of course. Moncada's big league start was similar.
  18. Not a savior, just an uptick.
  19. That's a fair point. Sometimes pitchers are cruising like that and suddenly lose it, though.
  20. Yeah, that's a pretty comfortable total.
  21. You'll have to take that up with Denny.
  22. Ort was another swipe from the Yankees. This would be cool.
  23. Sometimes throwing a no-hitter is not the best thing for a pitcher because they get overextended. I think the stats for 2021 will back that up. I see that Means was way off last night. Full credit to Kluber though, he's really stepping up. Yankees pitching is formidable for sure.
