  1. Mookie went 0 for 6 last night. His BA fell to .240. He's out of the lineup today. Some concerning signs.
  2. He's been very good for a while now.
  3. The Yankees' one-time stockpile of pitching talent seems to be gone.
  4. As far as the guys at the top regressing, JD, Bogaerts, Devers and Verdugo are such good hitters that they may not regress that much. As always, just hope everyone stays healthy.
  5. Cordero has been replaced. Marwin has the versatility and his offense is a little better than this. Renfroe has been better lately. Dalbec is the guy in danger of losing at-bats, but wouldn't want to give up on him yet. I don't see any need to be looking outside the organization for anything at this point.
  6. If you go to roboplayers, the next logical step is robofans.
  7. We lead MLB in runs per game now. So whatever issues we have on offense, other teams have even bigger issues. I'm much more concerned about maintaining our pitching.
  8. I do. His screen name was Daffy Dan. I can't believe some of the stuff I remember.
  9. I'm sure they have their reasons.
  10. No, they aren't. Although their pitching is probably good enough to still get them to 90+ wins. The next big deal for them is how Garcia does in place of Kluber.
  11. There was a guy on the BDC forum whose sig line read 'I blame Francona for this win!' I really liked that guy...
  12. It's puzzling. 16 teams have reached the threshold and 3 more will reach it in 2 weeks. So the Red Sox are one of 11 teams who will still be short.
  13. But he might have been high on Downs in spite of that.
  14. On Gameday that pitch showed as a borderliner, the kind that often gets called a strike, but not a no-doubter, not an egregiously bad call.
  15. I blame Bloom and Cora for this 31-20 record.
  16. It's Six Innings and a Rainstorm Week at Fenway.
  17. Yes, any comments about Trout's contract being bad for the Angels are completely off the mark.
  18. Yeah, the North Atlantic Ocean is a pain in the ass. Here in Halifax we generally get Boston's weather the next day, only colder.
  19. And more recently they managed to scrape up $245 million for Rendon.
  20. For some reason Cot's shows Mookie's AAV as the full $30.42 million AAV with no adjustment for deferred money, but Spotrac shows it as $25.55 million with the adjustment. https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/los-angeles-dodgers/payroll/
  21. Sanchez, Hicks, Voit also under .200. Never thought I'd see a Yankees offense like this one.
  22. Countering 320 to an ask of 420 was arguably a waste of time. It's quite possible, of course, that Henry got pissed off by Mookie's ask, and said 'Let's talk to Sale and Bogaerts'.
  23. Yes, we all know that. In this case I assume they didn't want to go that high. Maybe their ceiling was $325 or $330.
  24. The puzzling thing is that what Mookie actually agreed to was a present value of 307 mill for 12 years.
  25. The 420 mill stopped them in their tracks for some reason. It's like they interpreted it as a message that Mookie wanted to either go to free agency or to be paid more than they wanted to pay.
