  1. Maybe they have been a little stingy in recent years, if you compare their payroll costs to their revenues.
  2. He's just talking about tonight's game, I think...
  3. Not that. Weren't you saying he'd be more sought-after than Boone?
  4. Yes, to the piddliest long-term deal in modern times LOL
  5. He managed good, but they played bad.
  6. Something not quite right with that statement...
  7. I think you have to be careful what you say and do. Aaron Judge's blasting of 'New York, New York' after Game 2 of the 2018 ALDS didn't end up looking very good.
  8. Like I said, Cash is determined to prove that his pick was a great one.
  9. And he might prefer to go the Mookie Betts route.
  10. I think there were a few concerns expressed here about what Eovaldi said before the series, too. Quickly forgotten.
  11. The Yankees are surely due for a spending spree.
  12. If DD made 3 signings that bad, he'd be annihilated.
  13. And other organizations will also see he pitched better than his ERA this year, and they'll see what he looked like last 2 starts. Which means he can turn down the QO.
  14. Sure, let's completely bypass Ben's signings of Pablo, Hanley and Castillo. What's a totally wasted quarter billion here and there?
  15. If they sign Schwarber, he could play first next year, and transition to DH in 2023.
  16. Sorry Max, the QO is a fixed amount. It'll be about $19 mill.
  17. If E-Rod pitches well in whatever postseason innings he has left-not assuming anything-there's no way he accepts a QO. As sk7326 suggested, an Eovaldi-type deal seems realistic.
  18. Yes, I'm fine with that.
  19. He did have 2 walks and 2 runs last night.
  20. Personally, I have always been a staunch advocate for the number of pitchers Cora decides on.
  21. Ha, I called it. Good times.
  22. Schwarbs has hit two MASSIVE blasts into Fenway's right field seats this postseason.
  23. E-Rod vs. Stroman: Based on my new favorite stat-fWAR per 175 innings: Stroman 3.27 E-Rod 2.98 Stroman has pitched 9.5% better. E-Rod is about 23 months younger and has pitched about one season less in innings.
