Except for drafting Whitlock. Extremely rare but a beautiful thing.
-
Oh, it's more than hard LOL
-
If not sooner.
-
The owners' initial efforts to substantially reduce the tax threshold did seem a hint that it was 'cry poor' time.
-
Ban the fool (again), please.
-
That, plus there ain't much to talk about.
-
Adding $2M to the payroll, I assume you mean.
-
And that's assuming you sign Seager.
-
Makes sense to me.
-
I got twinges of a headache just reading some of that post you quoted.

Seems like there's no chance in hell Bloom would be seriously interested in Ray, with those extra penalties involved.
-
Put him on ignore, for the sake of your mental health.

If there was a forum pool on guessing this it would have been you, moon and mvp.

I guess they're the most likely trade candidates. There are some unlikely ones too.

Right, that's what I'm getting at. There will always be clunkers.

In spite of which, I'd have to call the existing deal Bogey signed a team-friendly one.

Hmmm, seems like every offseason we talk about "addition by subtraction".

Right. I had a suspicion I was leaving out another good Pinder.

That's the smart way to do it. But it could be a long wait. So in the meantime we have to jabber about something.
-
If you're going to whiff, relatively cheap one-year whiffs are the way to go. And all three of those did deliver some value.
-
Lucy is the only good Pinder.
-
And I'm so humble I'd settle for being a mega-rich person's accountant.
-
Oh yeah, you're absolutely right. But the man could get injured next year and it's all gone. Players need to listen more to their accountants and less to their agents.
-
As far as Freeman is concerned, I hope the Braves get that deal done so the Yanks can't swoop, because I think Hal might give that one the financial thumbs-up.
-
The bottom line is, Bloom is probably not going to do anything that the fans want, including moon's persistent requests to trade Vaz. And we probably won't know if we like what he's done until sometime in April, 2022.
