It was far from a conclusion, Nick. It's the fact that Eovaldi pitched last night that makes me wonder. If they're trading him it's risky to use him.

In his first major league game, James Outman goes 3 for 4 with a homer and double and makes only one out. How perfect is that? (Plays for the freakin' Dodgers, though.)

Hunter Renfroe's current fWAR of 1.2 would place him 4th among Red Sox position players.

It's because he represents a philosophy that some folks like. Rebuild the farm, don't get locked into a bunch of albatross contracts etc. It's a philosophy that requires patience. A lot of fans do not have that kind of patience, which I understand. It's no fun being in last place, again. I think 2023 is a huge year for Bloom.
