We didn't unload all of the $60 mill, of course. We were still on the hook for $16 mill of Price's salary. So the net increase in AAV would have been $44 mill. Talent-wise we'd have Betts instead of Verdugo.

The Mets will be reporting a loss. Whether the numbers can be relied on is a different question. Unless you're talking about appreciation in market value.

Cohen is likely not done at all. Why stop until you're virtually guaranteed the 2023 trophy? This is a serious problem now. What will Manfred do? That probably depends on how much heat he's getting from other owners.
