  1. Some snark from me about JD signing.
  2. This was in reply to my post.
  3. My first one. Yes I said Eovaldi or Kluber. But the point of this exercise is to disprove the idea that nobody wanted Eovaldi back.
  4. Looking for posts in the offseason thread about Eovaldi. Here's one from moon.
  5. GMs can also be fired at any time, so looking too far ahead might be a mistake.
  6. I thought he made him an offer.
  7. 2 for $34, absolutely.
  8. Um, why don't you speak for yourself? I never said I didn't want him back.
  9. The only teams that seem to be in full tank mode this year are the A's and the Royals.
  10. All we can do is speculate. My speculation is that if the Sox finish under .500 this year Bloom is gone.
  11. I think umpires do their best. Balls are being thrown with more velocity and more spin all the time. The men in blue need help.
  12. Those are just euphemisms for scalper.
  13. We already know the answer to that.
  14. Eovaldi got $34 million. That's a fraction of the big contracts.
  15. I'm sure the Sox ticket scalpers are not a happy lot right now either.
  16. Sure he did, and nobody says they aren't. I have always thought that Henry considers himself a smart baseball guy and wants his team to win. I refuse to believe he's happy right now with the state of the team. We all saw what happened to Cherington.
  17. I honestly have never put much credence in what's said in game threads.
  18. Sure, I'll bet John breaks out a bottle of Dom Perignon every time he looks at the declining attendance and TV ratings.
  19. Devers was part of the 2022 team too. I guess we should have been pissed when they extended him.
  20. That's a fair question, but an equally fair question is whether he wants to keep finishing under .500 and getting booed whenever he appears in public. I think he expected Bloom to trim payroll and win, not just the former.
  21. His last start in 2022 was on May 8. He was the closer before injury ended his season. I don't know if Bloom had any clear plan for him at all. His struggles second time through the order are well documented and not going away. This team is a circus.
