  1. BTW did anybody read Abreu's translation of what he was yelling after his home run that put the Sox ahead in that last game against the Rays: "Are you crazy?" Love it.
  2. I knew so little about him. Much much better player and bigger personality than I realized. Props to Breslow.
  3. Game saver. I think everyone was so excited about the streak continuing that it didn't get its proper due.
  4. We have some really amped guys in that dugout. Just a little concerned that Seigler might spontaneously combust.
  5. I remember that name. He was the manager of the 1965 Twins team that lost to the Dodgers in the World Series in 7.
  6. He's a platoon DH without much power. He does contribute sometimes, though.
  7. The K/BB is pretty darn bad. Combined 25/26 is 233 to 41. Almost 6 to 1.
  8. Don't know about thrilled, but I liked it.
  9. I know you're not 100% serious, but just for a moment picture a rust-caked Story striding to the plate in mid-August and tell me you're not shuddering at the human carnage you're about to behold.
  10. Santiago Espinal for Steve Pearce. World Series MVP. Done. 😉
  11. Story seems like he might be right on the verge of not being able to hit major league fastballs any more. The combination of age and injury and inactivity sure doesn't help.
  12. Clark and Byrnes together LOL. For some reason this made me think of what the all-time jacka** team would look like.
  13. So Jake Bennett last 5 games, 33 innings, 3 runs. Not bad for the rookie and 39th round pick. Whatever our problems are, I don't think Andrew Bailey is one of them.
  14. OK, well, your first paragraph is the kind of elaboration I was looking for. I don't think anyone knows exactly what the issue is. Or why it seemed to only pop up this year and not in previous years.
  15. I find your theory mildly perplexing, in that Bello faced at least 24 batters in each of his "relief" outings, so he would have faced the best hitters at least twice each.
  16. The Sox have given up 12 runs during this 8 game winning streak.
  17. Take a look at his starter/reliever splits, they are nuts!
  18. Hmmm, maybe it's a trend. The Knicks were just led to a title by one of the shortest players in the league.
  19. Sorry but why are you saying the pen should not be asked to do this today?
  20. Sure. But it is at least interesting that he did radically better in the games he came in after an opener.
