Whether he was hurt or it was the divorce or what it was, Giolito's horrific finish last year was a red flag of some sort. It was another dumpster dive, but a more expensive one than any of Chaim's.
Look, if folks can attribute getting shelled repeatedly to going through a divorce, I don't see how suggesting he might have been injured is off limits.
I don't know that's what it was for sure, how many times do I have to say it.
When the guy gets injured in spring training, combined with how he finished last year, it would be absurd to rule out that he was pitching hurt.
I never said it was for sure. Kind of a double standard here.
That's what I've been saying too. Blaming it all on his divorce always seemed a little strange to me. Seemed like there were other possibilities in play...
