  1. No, Brez is really stupid. We would just toy with him here.
  2. Get France and India.
  3. Yes, by our standards, the opinions were well founded.
  4. I should have mentioned again about Bochy being a great manager as another reason Texas is still in it.
  5. Hey, what kind of response is that?
  6. Besides trading legit prospects, there's also the possibility of taking someone's salary dump like the Mets did when they got Maton from the Rays.
  7. I'm still predicting Texas will not be selling. They've won 10 of 14, they're only 3 back in the division and they have deGrom and Mahle returning soon.
  8. Personally I'm very happy with the Cora extension and I think it's a good sign for what's to come. And I think Breslow is going to make some moves now. Go Crag!
  9. It was kind of a different "wait till next year" back then. Back then Red Sox Nation burned with equal parts passionate longing and deep frustration. Now it's more of a "good times are coming so relax" feeling the Sox front office is trying to project.
  10. In the immortal words of Archie Bunker: "Somethin's rotten in Denver."
  11. Bernardino has been horrible for weeks. Seems to make sense to get him an inning in a blowout.
  12. Amazing that Cashman has this job for life.
  13. You were wrong just a couple of days ago when you predicted we'd be beating up on the Rockies LOL Predicting baseball is impossible. But it'd be boring to never do it.
  14. It's a good day, even though we're getting hammered. Hopefully some good player news to follow!
  15. Wally gets lowballed by Henry, like just about everyone.
  16. As usual, your recommendations will be given all the attention they deserve.
  17. Oh yeah, everyone can see the bobbled balls and bad throws. The hard part to measure is which guys cover the most ground and get to balls that others don't on a regular basis.
  18. O'Neillll now has an OPS of .891, which is really really good. But nothing silences anyone in this madhouse, that goes without saying.
  19. We don't look totally lost, we look like a team that's a hair better than a .500 team. And that's not really that much different than we've looked for most of the last 3 years. We had a nice little hot streak before the break and that raised our hopes, but then reality quickly set in again. I predicted this team would win 80 at the start of the year, so it's not like I've done a major flip-flop. I've become kind of a detached observer this year, I have to admit. Part of it is probably just from getting old and jaded as a fan after 55 years of it. Part of it is I'm disgusted with the way Henry has run things starting when he traded Betts.
  20. It's not just the 4 losses, it's that the pitching staff looks like it's falling apart, and that it was somewhat predictable that it would. For me personally I know this has a lot to do with being bitter at Henry and Kennedy for the 5 years of fiscal restraint and the insulting way they deal with the fans. I appreciate that the players are working their asses off and that some have greatly exceeded expectations. But when you're not getting much help from the guys who make the decisions, it's kind of a futile battle.
  21. And maybe the Sox were lucky too. Oh well, the next week should be interesting in some way, shape or form...
  22. The same thing Sam would have told them the last two years: "Your checks are still cashing, aren't they?"
  23. I get that. It just looks to me like Breslow is in a pretty horrible position.
  24. My recollection is that most of the fuss about trading Vazquez was the way he found about it. I don't think anyone was freaking because we lost Vazquez for the last couple of months. As of now? Yeah, a small win for Bloom with Abreu.
