Agree. Seattle was obviously down to the dregs of their pen, but it seems like they should have brought in a righty instead and walked Devers. Because Refsnyder really does kill lefties.

We were 56-50 last year and we're 56-50 this year.

We've given up 7 runs or more in 9 of the last 10. We had a shutout in the other game. Some might find it odd that the starting pitcher in that game got moved to the bullpen and mopped up last night. Thinking outside the box, I guess.

My bet is we're not selling anything of value. This team has had more than enough PR f***ups and mixed messages. They don't need Pivetta dealing for another team the next two months while Houck has to go on the IL. We'll check back on my "wisdom" at 6 PM.

Craig can't do that, not at this point. He'd look worse than Bloom did the last two years, because it would be a flip-flop on what he's been saying and reportedly trying to do, which is add pitching.

Not that many big name RP'ers have been moved so far. Jason Adam got a large return, but he's got a few years of control left so that has to be factored. -
Yes, you're right, Max has been saying it, and with all due respect, Max has been over the top on it.

I think it would have made more sense to prioritize the rotation, and if they were going to upgrade second base for 2024, do it another way. The "long term solution to second base" part is odd, too, because next year we'll have Story, Mayer, and others in contention for MIF spots.
