  1. What Sox fans need to do is say every kind of prayer and voodoo incantation for the health of Victorino.
  2. His bullpen moves tonight have been strange. He leaves Oviedo out there forever, now he's using his setup guy in a 2-6 game.
  3. Yes, Maddon, this is the right time to use Peralta.
  4. Pierzynski is getting his numbers in order.
  5. He can adjust then. He's a crafty veteran now.
  6. Maddon sure left that guy out there a while LOL
  7. Nice tennis stroke on the chalk by Victorino.
  8. Thanks for that pitching change Mr. Maddon.
  9. Hmmm...I think that might be skewed a tad by the Sox and Yankees playing each other 7 times.
  10. Jeez that lineup sure looks good on paper doesn't it?
  11. I can't think of many things less rational than betting on baseball.
  12. Man, it feels like it should be a gift, facing a stiff like Bedard, doesn't it.
  13. He's been excellent so far, no question.
  14. SoxSport is giving some feedback to other posters for a change at least.
  15. I'm surprised somebody didn't mention how bad Tazawa's numbers are against the Jays. It's a head-scratcher to say the least.
  16. Also the Rogers Centre can play like a bandbox sometimes. This was the 5th game of a home stand for the Jays, and the scores have been 9-3, 10-8, 11-4, 8-1 and 7-6.
  17. Ha. How do you construct any trade for Trout? This could only happen if the Angels ownership had a sudden financial disaster, and even then they'd unload Pujols and Hamilton first. But anyway, I suppose the Red Sox would be asked for Bogaerts, Betts, Owens, and whoever the Angels considered our second-best pitching prospect.
  18. Here's something we can all get behind : post-PED suspension $53 million man Jhonny Peralta is off to a rough start with a .169 BA (.632 OPS) and 5 errors. Keep up the bad work, Jhonny.
  19. Kuroda's last 3 months: Aug/13 ERA 5.12 WHIP 1.42 Sept/13 ERA 5.70 WHIP 1.50 Apr/14 ERA 5.28 WHIP 1.38 (MLB career ERA 3.45 WHIP 1.18)
  20. Balfour blows it for the Rays on a grand slam by Abreu.
  21. Yes, my wife still talks about lovely the epidural was.
  22. Spelling - F Grammar - F Content - Sucks
  23. We never got a very clear explanation about the exact details of Buchholz's injury last year and we have no clue if he's still hurt or what the hell is causing his velocity to still be down. He'll probably get shelled one more time and then we'll hear he needs major surgery...
  24. That's great in theory. But in reality I think it's a lot like the stock market. The honest investment advisers tell you nobody can really time the market - nobody knows exactly where the high point and low point are. I don't think it's much different with a lot of ballplayers - predicting their future performance is a very inexact science.
  25. LMFAO at the Rays being pressed into using Erik Bedard as a starter, with predictably atrocious results.
