    It ain't over, but it's absolutely imperative that we score some runs early in Game 3.

    Letting Lester go the way they did is the biggest mistake this front office has made with regard to on-field talent.

    The fact that they lost 5 of their last 6 regular season games doesn't mean much, when you consider that those games came after an 11 game winning streak that secured the division for them. They're in a lousy position right now, that's for sure. But if, and it's a big if, they can win Game 3, everything will be possible again.

    If it's any consolation, the Sox do have 3 postseason wins against 2 losses in games started by Buchholz. Oddly enough he didn't get the decision in any of his 5 starts.

    If it's Trout 1 and Betts 2 I'm fine with it. For a kid like Betts, finishing second in MVP to Trout is a pretty large accomplishment.

    I literally could not watch the end of that Game 5 in Oakland in 2003...I was a wreck.

    Yeah, it was the kind of 'opportunistic' transaction that doesn't happen too often, thankfully.
