  1. A 3 run jack by Papi in the 1st inning on Sunday might be just the ticket.
  2. It ain't over, but it's absolutely imperative that we score some runs early in Game 3.
  3. Letting Lester go the way they did is the biggest mistake this front office has made with regard to on-field talent.
  4. The fact that they lost 5 of their last 6 regular season games doesn't mean much, when you consider that those games came after an 11 game winning streak that secured the division for them. They're in a lousy position right now, that's for sure. But if, and it's a big if, they can win Game 3, everything will be possible again.
  5. If it's any consolation, the Sox do have 3 postseason wins against 2 losses in games started by Buchholz. Oddly enough he didn't get the decision in any of his 5 starts.
  6. Not to mention, the Cy Young and MVP etc. are only for the regular season.
  7. Hunch: Benintendi has a good night.

  12. Yeah, you're right. Let's remember Pedro and Troy O'Leary breaking Cleveland's heart in 1999. Let's remember Beckett and Drew and Youk and Pedey doing the same in 2007.
  13. And Mark Bellhorn didn't.
  14. Yeah, that was certainly an example of the Sox being hurt by their own ballpahk...
  15. HFA is a joke when you're facing a pitcher like Bumgarner.
  16. If Koji pitches well in the postseason and is open to coming back on a 1-year deal, that could still happen.
  17. And a testament to Earl Weaver's adage about 'pitching and 3-run homers'.
  18. There's no one to blame for this.
  19. 100% correct.
  20. You have an interesting definition of blame. You think a GM made bad trades but you don't blame him for them. You want JF gone but you don't blame him for anything.
  21. Last night's game didn't really show that IMO...it was a perfect example of 'it's anybody's game' IMO. And if Buck used Britton like he shoulda...
